Stat Stuffers: This Week's Big Performers

Several players across the state have delivered outstanding performances recently, filling up the stat sheet and helping their teams compete at a high level. From triple-doubles to career-best outings, these athletes have made significant impacts in every phase of the game.    The Tigers' stat-stuffing setter/outside hitter led Republic to a sweep over Lebanon while recording her second triple-double of the season. Finley finished with 20 kills on .432 shooting, 17 digs, and 13 assists. She is also nearing significant career milestones in all three statistical categories.     Holstein continues to show her all-around ability. In a recent five-set loss to Willard, the 2028 setter recorded 10 kills, 17 digs, and 19 assists for another triple-double. Holstein excels in every phase of the game and has a bright future at the next level.     Lanfersieck continues to fill the stat sheet and make a major impact for the Longhorns. The standout setter/opposite recently recorded a triple-double with 10 kills, 11 digs, and 25 assists. She followed that performance with matches of 21 kills, 14 digs, and 17 assists; 18 kills, 16 digs, and 26 assists; and 11 kills, 12 digs, and 13 assists.   The latest triple-double was Lanfersieck's fourth of the season, and she has also recorded six double-doubles. Her ability to contribute in every phase of the game has been impressive.     Buttrum is enjoying another outstanding season and has now recorded four double-doubles. Her recent performances include 13 kills and 16 digs against Eureka, 15 kills and 13 digs against Howell, 17 kills and 12 digs against Timberland, and 17 kills and 11 digs against Howell North. Ady has helped lead Fort Zumwalt West to a 9-3 start.     Potosi remains one of the few undefeated teams in the area, and Litton has played a major role in that success. During a sweep of Blair Oaks, the 2028 outside hitter recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 20 digs, marking her fourth double-double of the season.     Gibson recorded double-doubles in back-to-back sweeps over Winona and Blair Oaks. She finished the Winona victory with 44 assists and 10 digs, then added 33 assists and 10 digs against Blair Oaks. The performances gave Gibson six double-doubles this season.     The high-flying pin hitter continues to show why she will compete at the next level. Wood recorded her sixth double-double of the season in a loss to Valle, finishing with 15 kills and 17 digs. Her hard work during the offseason is clearly paying dividends.     Keeven delivered an outstanding performance in Notre Dame St. Louis' thrilling five-set loss to Villa Duchesne, 25-23, 19-25, 25-27, 28-26, 17-19. She recorded 17 kills, 20 assists, and seven blocks, narrowly missing a rare triple-double.     Bruns has been playing excellent volleyball this season and recently recorded a season-high 17 kills while hitting .244. She also added 10 digs for her second career double-double.     Madison has been a consistent standout for the Panthers for several seasons, and she once again produced big numbers in a five-set loss to Burroughs. The high-flying pin hitter recorded a season-high 27 kills on .315 shooting and added 10 digs.     In Burroughs' five-set victory over the St. Louis Panthers, Schnuck recorded 21 kills and 14 digs for her second double-double of the season. More big performances should be ahead for the talented pin hitter.     The 2030 opposite delivered the best match of her young career in Burroughs' win over the St. Louis Panthers. Rhodes recorded 15 kills while hitting .394. With her combination of size, athleticism, and skill, the left-handed standout has no ceiling.
