Swinging Big: 2028 Attackers Off to Strong Starts

From putting up big kill numbers to providing a steady offensive option when their teams need a point, these attackers have come out swinging. Some are using their power, while others are showing off their versatility, athleticism, and ability to score from multiple spots on the court. She is quick, has fast reflexes at the net, and does a great job getting her hands on balls within reach. She has a quick approach and fast arm swing, generating plenty of power and torque on the ball. She is also able to adjust her swing based on the block, turning down the line or attacking cross court to find open space and put away big kills. Through two regular season matches and a three match tournament, she is averaging an impressive eight kills per match and has become a consistent offensive weapon for Central Minnesota Christian. Her production has helped the team jump out to a perfect 5-0 start and she continues to show that she can be counted on to put balls away and generate points from the pin. While she is predominantly used on the right, she has the ability to score from just about anywhere across the net. What stands out most to me is her ability to make something happen when a play gets chaotic. Even when she doesn't have much time or space to transition, Finke can adjust, stay aggressive, and unload a big swing on whatever ball is sent her way. She has a wide range of shots, whether she is turning down the line, pushing the ball into open court, or even attacking out of the middle. Spear is also really effective at the net. She is quick to take advantage of overpasses and does a great job getting up and putting up a strong block. She can generate offense from just about anywhere on the court, whether she is swinging from the pins or taking big swings out of the back row. She is strong, has a fast arm swing, and does a great job transitioning quickly to get herself available for the next ball.
