Top Talent To Track At Appleton East Invite

Appleton East will host a tournament of high caliber teams from across the state with Eau Claire  Memorial in the West, Milton from Southern Wisconsin, and plenty from the Fox Valley/Green Bay area to Wausau.  This could have a potential impact on tournament seeding with many of these teams coming from the same section.  Here is a look at some top players to track at Appleton East.     [player_tooltip player_id='875972' first='Kinley' last='Reed'] is one of the top freshmen in the state and has been a key piece to the surge of Appleton East. The six rotation outside hitter can do a little bit of everything where she can score points out of the backrow and is lethal from both pins. This past summer she was named MVP of the 14 National Division at USAV Nationals for her [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 14 Navy team while also being named all tournament team at the All Star Championships for the Badger Region High Performance team. She will be fun to watch throughout her high school and club career where she still has plenty of upside to her game.     De Pere is going to be a sneaky team to keep tabs on for the Appleton East tournament where they are off to a 3-0 start in conference play and recently won the Watertown Tournament two weeks ago. A key player for the Redbirds is [player_tooltip player_id='522338' first='Mariah' last='Jeskewitz'], a six rotation outside who is solid in serve receive, key in their defensive scheme, and has multiple shots in her tool box to use from going line, hard cross, high hands, or offspeed.     Milton will be making the trip North to Appleton East with a 19-6 record. This is a senior led lineup where Dummer has surpassed 1,000 career assists and looks to attackers in [player_tooltip player_id='821205' first='Zoey' last='Keltner'], [player_tooltip player_id='795802' first='Kylee' last='Buttchen'], and [player_tooltip player_id='773936' first='Lia' last='Couey']. Libero [player_tooltip player_id='510458' first='Kelsey' last='Gill'] is averaging nearly six digs per set and has surpassed over 1,000 in her career. This team should be in the hunt for some big matches come Saturday afternoon at East.     [player_tooltip player_id='565667' first='Ella' last='Eckhoff'] will be heading to Alaska-Anchorage for her college volleyball, but first she's having a strong senior season for DC Everest. She is averaging nearly four kills perset and has 800 in her career. Everest is a dangerous team where they have picked up wins over West De Pere, Hortonville, and SPASH. Eckhoff will be key for the Evergreens in a balanced Wisconsin Valley Conference race and in a section that is wide open when it comes to the road to the Resch. This will be an important weekend when it comes to seeding for plenty of these teams.     Princess Tomori is a new name to know in the volleyball world for Appleton North. The middle blocker is also a standout on the basketball court and brings plenty of athleticism and length to the position. Her hang time is impressive and her improvement has been fun to track from the summer to midway of her junior season. She leads the team in blocks with 35 and is showing a lot of potential of what can be a breakout offensive game.     SPASH is coming off a state tournament appearance and brings back plenty of weapons from that 2025 team. However, a new name to know would be sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='771238' first='Charley' last='Romano']. The sophomore has played her club ball for Wisconsin Flight and has a dynamic skill set where she can serve receive pass, and attack to score points. She will be key for the Panthers as they look to gain some spots within their section this weekend. They are coming off a huge 3-2 win over Marshfield in conference play on Thursday night.     Eau Claire Memorial will be making the trip across the state to take on some top teams out of the Fox Valley. [player_tooltip player_id='806678' first='Marlee' last='Ferguson'] leads the way for Memorial with over three kills per set while there is a duo of sophomores who are also making their impact in the scoring column with Addison Schroeder and Molly Mulock. They will kick off tournament play against the host, Appleton East Saturday morning.     Don't let the record of Kewaskum fool you. They have played in some high level tournaments so far this season where they are battle tested. There is plenty of youth on this team where an athlete to watch would be freshman [player_tooltip player_id='781365' first='Kylee' last='Holland']. She leads the team in total blocks and nearly a kill and a half per set. The top scorer for Kewaskum is sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='918322' first='Isabelle' last='Boyung']. This can be a dangerous team the more experience they gain through the season.     [player_tooltip player_id='807375' first='Sophia' last='Logue'] has been a mainstay for Pulaski her entire career and is having quite the senior season. She is leading the team in kills, hitting efficiiency, and blocks. She brings physicality and athleticism to the middle blocker position where she can score off multiple tempos and spots along the front line. With Logue in the front row they are a threat to go on a run, same with her serve.
