Theresa Hickman | Prep Dig Scout
Kinley Reed is elevating through precision and pace. Her approach path is more direct, eliminating wasted movement and allowing her to arrive balanced and explosive. She’s contacting the ball higher and manipulating block angles rather than simply overpowering defenders.
Reed’s consistency is what stands out. She’s reducing errors while maintaining aggressive swings and staying active in transition. Her efficiency is climbing without sacrificing competitiveness. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Reed first caught my attention after I saw her take a swing and she clearly was not satisfied with it because I could see the gears turning and her calculating what she had to do differently. She responded with a nice high reach and consistently hit on top of the ball and sent it to the floor expeditiously after that.

📌 Kinly Reed | Class of 2030 | 5’11” OH
Kinly Reed made her presence known at the UP Next Showcase. At 5’11”, she already looks the part of a high-level outside, and she backed it up with a standout performance. Her arm swing was one of the cleanest in the gym, consistently finding sharp angles and powering balls through the block. What impressed most was her ability to stay composed under pressure—whether attacking out of system or working off the block, she found ways to score.
She also brought energy, handling first contact with poise and putting up a steady block against some of the event’s top hitters. Her ability to transition quickly from defense to attack gave her team a huge edge.
Reed’s showcase performance showed why she is one of the top 2030s to keep on the radar—she already plays with the presence and confidence of a much older athlete.
