The 2030 Watchlist: 20 Names to Know
In this article:
Happy Halloween Eve! 🎃 Sorry for the anticipation, but the wait is finally over! Prep Dig Colorado's 2030 Watchlist is here!
We have been searching near and far for this group of young athletes, and we are extremely excited about the talent we are seeing in the Class of 2030. From middles making an early impact to setters already showing impressive court awareness, this class has plenty of athletes worth keeping on the radar.
And, of course, this is only the beginning.
Our 2030 scouting does not stop here. We will continue watching matches, tracking development, finding new names, and adding athletes as they emerge. This first group of 20 is simply where we are getting started!
There is a lot of volleyball ahead for this class, and we are excited to see where these athletes take their games. The future is looking bright for Colorado's 2030s!

is naturally going to grab attention at the net. However, it is the way she is beginning to use that height that has us excited. May can generate serious power through her swing and already looks comfortable attacking aggressively from the middle.
There is still a lot of volleyball ahead of her, which makes her development especially interesting. As her timing and footwork continue to catch up with her physical tools, that attack could become even more difficult to defend.
May has plenty of room to grow, but the pieces are already there. This is a 2030 middle we will be watching closely.

keeps an offense guessing. She has a deceptive delivery and does a nice job making multiple hitters feel like legitimate options.
One of the things we continue to appreciate is her connection with the middle. Vlcek is willing to use that option and keeps defenses from simply camping on the pins. That can create a lot more room for an offense to operate.
Then, the setter becomes a defender. Vlcek brings energy behind the play, stays active, and is willing to chase a ball when the rally gets messy. She is giving us plenty of reasons to keep this 2030 setter on the radar.

is already being asked to do a little bit of everything for Castle View, and that tells us a lot about the trust she has earned as a freshman.
She is contributing at the net, handling first contact, and staying involved when a rally moves away from the original plan. That ability to shift gears is a major part of what makes her stand out.
Sison also has a strong understanding of the game. She does not look like a player waiting for the next ball to tell her what to do. Instead, she seems to anticipate the play and make decisions as it develops.
For a 2030 athlete, that kind of court awareness is exciting. Sison has already shown she can wear multiple hats, and we are excited to see which parts of her game continue to take off.

has a calm presence that immediately catches your eye. At 5'8", she moves comfortably around the court and looks confident directing the offense.
What happens when the pass is not perfect is especially telling. Faley does not let a tough ball speed her up. She gets organized, makes the adjustment, and still finds a way to give her hitter something to work with.
That kind of composure is valuable for a setter. Faley already has a nice foundation, and we are excited to see how her offense continues to grow with more experience.

wants to be part of it.
She brings plenty of communication and energy to the back row, and her platform gives her a solid base to work from. More importantly, Beier does not disappear between contacts. She stays engaged with what is happening around her.
That mentality can make a big difference for a young defender. Beier is showing that she wants responsibility, and she is building the type of reliability that can make her a valuable piece as she continues developing.

is leveling up every time we see her, and that is exactly why she belongs on this watchlist. Her high school experience is bringing another layer to her game, and she is starting to look faster, smarter, and more confident with every opportunity.
Roberts brings plenty of energy to the net, but now we are seeing her pair that athleticism with better reads and stronger decision-making. The more she plays, the more comfortable she looks handling the speed of high school volleyball.
That growth is exciting. Roberts is not simply gaining experience; she is turning those reps into development. With her club background and the way she is progressing through her high school season, there is a lot to like about where this OH/RS is headed.

is another 2030 setter who is making the most of her high school experience. Every varsity rep seems to be adding another layer to her game, and she is becoming a sharper, more confident offensive leader for Castle View.
Her court vision continues to stand out. Arguello is seeing plays earlier, understanding what her hitters need, and finding ways to move the offense with purpose. She also has the strength to make things happen when the pass pulls her away from the net.
The biggest takeaway is the progression. Arguello is getting smarter with every match, and that growth is showing up in the way she runs the court. She is becoming the type of setter who can influence the entire offense, and that makes her a very exciting name on this 2030 Watchlist.
Riley Cheatham Riley Cheatham 6'2" | MB/RS Golden | 2030 CO | MB
Riley Cheatham Riley Cheatham 6'2" | MB/RS Golden | 2030 CO is bringing plenty of offense to the 2030 class. At 6'0", she has the size to create problems at the net, but her versatility is what really makes her intriguing.
Cheatham can attack from different areas of the front row, which gives her offense more than one answer. When the defense adjusts, she can adjust right back.
That ability to find another solution is a valuable trait for a young hitter. Cheatham is still developing, but she is already showing signs of becoming a tough matchup as her game continues to expand.

has been on our radar for a reason. The freshman brings a serious amount of energy to the back row and plays with the confidence of someone who expects to make the next play.
She reads the court well, reacts quickly, and is not afraid to chase difficult balls. Acuna also brings a jump float serve that can put some pressure on the other side of the net.
There is a lot to like about the way she competes. We have been watching her progress, and this 2030 DS/L has absolutely earned a spot on our first watchlist.

is already finding her footing as a freshman, and she has given us plenty to like early on.
She has a natural feel for the game and is getting valuable experience against a faster, more experienced level of competition. That adjustment takes time, but Helle is already showing that she can step into the moment and contribute.
With more reps, her confidence and understanding of the high school game should continue to grow. Helle is one of those young pins we will be watching as the season unfolds.
