I've been waiting to start talking about this 2030 class. Over the past year, I've had the chance to watch these setters grow, compete, and start showing pieces of what they could become. Now it's time to put some names on the radar. These aren't the rankings just yet, but they're the start of our North Dakota 2030 Watchlist, and these five setters are a great place to begin. Each brings something different to the position, and I'm excited to see where their game goes from here. Remember these names because we're just getting started with the 2030s.

Coty Christoffereson is already a name drawing college attention, and at 6'1", there is a lot to get excited about with her game. She brings size to the setter position, but she is far from a one-dimensional setter. Christoffereson can turn around and become a legitimate attacker at the net, using her length and physicality to put balls away and create another problem for the defense. As a setter, she plays with confidence, has excellent control of the ball, and continues to develop the ability to run an offense while still being an offensive threat herself. That combination of size, setting ability, and versatility gives her a very high ceiling. She has been one of my top prospects in North Dakota's 2030 class for some time, and she is absolutely a name college coaches should have on their radar early. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1047618' first='Kenlie' last='Richman'] is another setter I've been watching, and she belongs in this first group of 2030s we're putting on the watchlist. Richman is developing confidence in how she handles the position, and she looks increasingly comfortable taking responsibility for the offense. Setting at this age is about much more than getting your hands on the second ball, and Richman is beginning to show the presence you want from someone running the court. Plenty of development is still ahead, which is exactly what makes following this class so exciting. Richman has already given us a reason to keep watching. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1000803' first='Harper' last='Johnson'] is one of those young setters I want to keep seeing. She is learning how to take command of an offense, work with different hitters, and handle the responsibility that comes with touching nearly every second ball. What has caught my attention is the foundation she is building at the position. Johnson is still early in her development, but the pieces are there, and another year of touches, competition, and growth could really open up her game. She earns a spot on this first watchlist because there is something here worth following. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='878416' first='Harper' last='Belohlavek'] gives you an interesting option because she doesn't have to stay in a traditional setter box. When she rotates to the front row, Belohlavek can become a legitimate threat on the right side and attack the ball herself. That changes the look of an offense. Instead of just tracking where she sets, the defense must also respect her ability at the net. Her ability to set and then flip into an attacking role is a big reason she has my attention. As that complete game continues to develop, Belohlavek has the tools to become a very fun player to follow in this 2030 class. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

One of my favorite things about [player_tooltip player_id='943719' first='Zahraa' last='Reslan']'s game starts before she ever sets the ball. She has been trained to think defense first, and you can see that mentality in how she approaches the position. Reslan understands her job doesn't begin with the second contact; she has to defend, transition, and then get into position to run the offense. That is a big piece of setter development that young players sometimes overlook. Building those defensive instincts now gives Reslan a strong foundation as her setting game continues to grow, and it is one of the reasons she has been on my radar. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
