Ballers We Couldn’t Leave Off Our 2028 State Ranking List

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The State Rankings release is here!!! We have unveiled the top 82 players in this latest publishing of the 2028 class. We have been watching the 2028 class very closely throughout the entire club &amp; high school season. &nbsp;A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles.&nbsp; We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects.&nbsp; The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["775543"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6ad18f8483e6f"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Miss Adefemiwa plays with an explosiveness that is hard to miss. Her approach is quick, her last two steps are dynamic, and the results speak for themselves: a .311 hitting percentage across 39 sets this fall, plus 28 total blocks from a 6'1" frame that is still filling out. Watch her arm and you see why the efficiency holds up, because the swing is long and fully loaded and she makes contact high and well in front of her shoulder. She is smart, too. She would rather roll a ball into the deep corner than swing into a closed seam. Slide her to the right side and nothing drops off; she opens to the setter, keeps the ball on her line, and presses her hands over the net to seal the antenna when the rally turns. LSU secured a USA Volleyball NTDP U17 alum whose upside may be the highest of any pin among this group of newcomers. Earning a place on the Prep Dig California Class of 2028 State Ranking List is a well-deserved milestone and there is plenty more ahead. She makes hard digs look ordinary, which is the surest sign of a great reader, starting her movement off the hitter's shoulder before the ball is struck. Her passing follows the same pattern. A quiet platform, an angle set early, and feet that never scramble, even when she is covering a wide seam is what I see when I watch her perform. Put the ball in her hands and she becomes a second setter and according to her stats, she has posted double-digit assists in a match this fall. I notice that she talks nonstop, assigning seams and tip coverage before every serve. Then there is her own serve, a late-dipping float that may be the most dangerous of any libero in the state. Against University City she piled up 17 digs and nine aces, the kind of stat line Washington's staff will love seeing for years. Miss Nelson checks every box and very few pins in the country can say the same. As a junior, the Purdue commit is putting away 4.3 kills per set at better than a .330 clip, after piling up 476 kills as a sophomore. Her timing is the secret, because she reaches full extension at contact and hits over blocks rather than around them. On the left side, she hammers the line when middles leave early. On the right side, she carves a sharp cross-body angle. Then she flips to defense and passes, handling more than 200 serve receive attempts this fall with a platform that does not budge. USA Volleyball noticed early, naming her to the 15U All-Tournament Team at the 2025 Girls Junior National Championship and now she adds a well-earned spot on the Prep Dig California Class of 2028 State Ranking List.
