Samantha Jenson / Anoka; 2022: Anoka will look to improve their losing record with the help of setter Samantha Jenson. While she has been on the varsity for some time, this will be her year to establish her role as a leader. She’s quick, intelligent, and knows how to run a fast offense. A member of the ARJO club team she can help her team get back to a winning season. |
Brynn Beffert / Hutchinson; 2023: The 6′ middle, who is a physical force on the basketball court could be a major force for Hutchinson this coming season. Even if coach, Dennis Piechowski, doesn’t want her in the middle she will make an excellent blocker on the right side; she’s extremely competitive and aggressive. |
Kara Goetzinger / Chatfield; 2023: This talented, left-handed player got pulled up to help a struggling Gopher varsity team at the end of the season. This year, look for her to step into a starting role. She has experience playing outside and middle, but will bring a dynamic boost to the right-side. |
Tenlee Magnuson/ Zumbrota Mazeppa; 2021: The HVL is a tough conference and the players in ZM have been working hard all summer long to ensure they can be competitive with the best of them. Tenlee and teammates have been taking lessons and training with Southern Minnesota Volleyball coaches and ETS training facility. They have been the “young team” for the last several years and Magnuson will lead them in what could be their best season ever. |
Callie Carlson Callie Carlson 5'6" | DS/L Lakeville South | 2023 State MN / Lakeville South ; 2023: It will be another promising season for South as they have another year with some of the biggest hitters in the state. However, they did graduate some of their key defenders, meaning Callie Carlson Callie Carlson 5'6" | DS/L Lakeville South | 2023 State MN (DS) should get more time to project the back court. Teammate, Payton Willman Payton Willman 5'7" | DS/L Lakeville South | 2021 State MN (L) will be a senior, but this season will bring opportunities for Carlson to earn valuable court time. |
