Arizona volleyball is being challenged across all divisions, yet still delivering results and making us proud. From hard-fought battles to statement victories, Arizona clubs have represented the state exceptionally well on the national stage. With many teams still in the hunt for a USAV National Championship, the final two days promise to deliver some of the best volleyball of the tournament, and we can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

Here are the teams still in the running for a championship.

16 American

AZ Sky 16 Gold

Sky entered the tournament as the No. 5 seed and has done everything asked of them through the opening rounds. Sitting at 5-0, they've battled through multiple three-set matches, showing resilience, composure, and the ability to execute in pressure moments. Rather than folding when challenged, they've continued to play together as a unit, proving they have what it takes to make a deep run.

The foundation of this team's success starts with outstanding ball control. [player_tooltip player_id='916276' first='Olivia' last='Correa'] has anchored the back row with steady serve receive, relentless defense, and the ability to keep rallies alive, while [player_tooltip player_id='888770' first='Emery' last='Ossenfort'] has been a dynamic offensive force on the pin, consistently providing points when her team needs them most. Running the show are setters [player_tooltip player_id='620649' first='Vanessa' last='Gridley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='883562' first='Allison' last='Veres'], who do an exceptional job distributing the offense, varying the tempo, and keeping opposing blockers guessing. Sky has looked like a dominant force for the duration of the tournament, and if they continue playing with the same confidence and chemistry, they'll be a tough out for anyone standing in their way. We're excited to see how their tournament unfolds over the final rounds.

Livewire 16 Prime

This team faced one of the toughest paths in the tournament from the very beginning, competing in an incredibly challenging pool that tested them every step of the way. Despite the level of competition, they battled to a 3-2 record over the first two days and showed tremendous resilience, grit, and determination every time they took the court. Their ability to compete through adversity allowed them to maintain their No. 10 seed and keep themselves in the hunt heading into the final rounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='786065' first='Ava' last='Romero'] came up with timely plays on the right side, using her physical block to slow opposing offenses and produce momentum-changing stops when her team needed them most. In the middle, [player_tooltip player_id='958411' first='Elizabeth' last='Hancock'] was a constant offensive threat, showcasing quick footwork, explosive transitions, and an ability to stay available in every rally. Her speed and connection with the setter made her a difficult player to contain and a key contributor to her team's success. With the fight they've displayed throughout the tournament, this is a group that has already proven they won't back down from any challenge.

16 Freedom

Club Cactus 16 Mizuno

Entering the tournament as the No. 1 seed, Club Cactus has done nothing but validate that ranking with a dominant 6-0 start through the first two days of competition. They have looked every bit like the team to beat, displaying the consistency, depth, and composure that have defined their season. Throughout the year, they've consistently challenged themselves against Arizona's top competition and some of the nation's best teams in the Open divisions at national qualifiers, and that experience is paying dividends on the biggest stage.

The offense is orchestrated by the steady leadership of setter [player_tooltip player_id='779409' first='Paige' last='Clarke'], whose decision-making, tempo, and ability to distribute the ball keep opposing defenses guessing. She consistently puts her hitters in positions to succeed and has been a major catalyst for the team's success. On the outside, University of Arizona Beach commit [player_tooltip player_id='833602' first='Kallie' last='George'] continues to provide the offensive firepower that has fueled Club Cactus all season, delivering in key moments with a dynamic and reliable attack. Defensively, Cadence Spilsbury-Fehr serves as the backbone of the team, anchoring the back row with outstanding court coverage, relentless pursuit, and the ability to keep rallies alive.

From top to bottom, this roster is loaded with talent and plays with the confidence of a championship-caliber team. If they continue to perform at this level, it would come as no surprise to see Club Cactus bring a USAV National Championship back to Arizona.

Boltz 16u Desert Aces

Holding firm to their No. 4 ranking, this team has continued to prove why they belong among the nation's best. Despite dropping a single close match, they have put together an impressive 5-1 record and have shown the resilience and competitiveness that have defined their season. This is not a team anyone should overlook.

[player_tooltip player_id='888556' first='Alayah' last='Krein'] has been the heartbeat of this group all year, serving as a true six-rotation leader and providing stability in every phase of the game. Her versatility, competitive fire, and ability to elevate those around her have been on full display in Indianapolis, where she's turned in another outstanding performance. Surrounded by a roster that competes with relentless grit and refuses to back down, this team has all the pieces to make a deep run. Don't be surprised if they catch fire over the final two days and find themselves battling in the Gold Bracket with a chance to play for a championship.

16 Open

Storm 16 Thunder

This squad may have stumbled out of the gate with a tough three-set loss to open the tournament, but their response has been nothing short of impressive. Since then, they've settled into their rhythm, bounced back with confidence, and reminded everyone why they belong among the nation's best. Heading into the final rounds ranked No. 8, they're playing the brand of volleyball that has made them one of Arizona's premier Open teams all season.

Class of 2029 setter [player_tooltip player_id='883366' first='Addison' last='Martin'] has been the engine behind the offense, running a fast, balanced attack and consistently putting her hitters in positions to succeed. On the pin, [player_tooltip player_id='888928' first='Celia' last='Suey'] has been outstanding, terminating overpasses, attacking with conviction, and mixing her shots to keep opposing defenses off balance. In the back row, [player_tooltip player_id='888758' first='Kate' last='Hayes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='509700' first='Izzie' last='Penrose'] have provided the stability every championship team needs, anchoring serve receive and playing disciplined, high-level defense that allows the offense to stay in system.

This team has all the pieces to make a serious run. They're talented, resilient, and playing with growing confidence at exactly the right time. If they continue building on the momentum they've created, don't be surprised to see them make a deep push before the tournament is over.

The best is still yet to come. Arizona clubs have continued to prove they can compete with the nation's elite, and with championship aspirations still alive across multiple divisions, the final days of USAV Nationals are shaping up to be must-watch volleyball. We'll be following every match, celebrating every big moment, and highlighting the athletes making an impact along the way. Be sure to tag us in your schedules and highlights, and follow us on Instagram so we can catch your standout performances.

Good luck to all of the Arizona teams still battling—it has been an incredible tournament, and we can't wait to see how it all finishes.

Arizona volleyball is being challenged across all divisions, yet still delivering results and making us proud.
