USAV GJNC Showcase Session II Top Performers Vol 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig continued its partnership with USA Volleyball at the Girls Junior National Championship Showcase Session II, held at the Indiana Convention Center on June 29^th.  The event brought together athletes from across the nation looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. The St. Francis Borgia outside hitter competing with FC United 16 Black earned a Top Performer award in the second session of the USAV Girls Junior National Championship Showcase by producing consistently in both the skill drills and the team scrimmage competition. At 5'8" in the 2028 class, she has room to grow physically and even more room to grow as a prospect. Her approach timing and competitive engagement were standout qualities throughout the day, and the court coaches who evaluated her noted how she attacked with purpose and stayed involved on the defensive side of the ball without being asked. She brought energy, she competed with class, and she made the players around her feel it. Prep Dig scouts have already noted her ability to score from multiple angles, adjust to different set locations, and contribute in all six rotations, and every one of those qualities showed up on the showcase floor. At 5'11", her length and arm speed generate genuine power at the pin, but what stood out to evaluators was the volleyball IQ behind the swing. She reads the block. She makes clean contact. And she stays composed when the game speeds up around her. This young lady is the real deal and she will be moving up the state rankings in the next update. Stay tuned for where she lands. The Top Performer award she earned on June 29th is the next piece of a resume that is clearly still being written. The class of 2027 libero from Jefferson High School competing with Vital 17-1 earned her Top Performer award not just with her platform and her range on the back row, but with the energy and warmth she brought to every single person on that floor. Everyone around her was touched by it. Her personality pulls you in immediately and makes you feel like you have known her for years, and in a showcase environment where players are competing alongside strangers, that quality made her side of the net feel like a team from the very first point. On the court she was sharp, disciplined, and competitive. Off the ball she was loud with encouragement and genuine in every bit of it. She has everything a coach wants in a captain: character, toughness, a game that holds up under pressure, and an it factor that is impossible to teach. We were genuinely glad to meet her and cannot wait to watch what comes next for her in this sport.
