About Stella
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a very vocal and energetic player who brings positivity and encouragement to my team. I pride myself on working hard every point, never giving up, and doing whatever I can to help my team succeed. I love competing with my teammates, creating a fun environment, and bringing energy to the court while staying focused on doing my job.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am fun, loud, and energetic, and I love supporting the people around me. I believe being a great teammate is just as important as being a great player. When I make a mistake, I don't dwell on it. I quickly think about what I could have done better, learn from it, and focus on winning the next point. I always strive to bring a positive attitude and encourage my teammates no matter what.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Outside of volleyball, I am active in my church group. I also work at EP Power, where I have developed strong customer service and communication skills, and I spend a lot of time nannying. These experiences have taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of being someone others can rely on.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Volleyball has helped me become a leader who communicates confidently and encourages others. I enjoy coaching younger girls and helping them develop both their volleyball skills and their confidence. Through coaching, work, and nannying, I have learned patience, leadership, responsibility, and how to work well with people of all ages.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of my biggest challenges has been rebuilding my confidence after experiencing a difficult club season followed by a tough high school season. Those experiences taught me resilience and reminded me why I love the game. Instead of giving up, I worked harder, joined a new club, embraced a fresh start, and continued growing as both a player and a teammate. That journey has made me mentally strong.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college where I can grow both academically and athletically. I want to be part of a competitive volleyball program with coaches who are invested in developing their players and who see me as a person before a player. Building genuine relationships and being part of a supportive, family-like team culture is very important to me. I am looking for a program that values hard work.
