New Frontcourt Terminators to Watch in Nebraska 2029 Rankings

Look out for the next wave of terminal scorers in the Cornhusker State.   We had plenty of room for new names in our Nebraska 2029 rankings. It's important to remember that this group has only logged one season of high school experience, meaning we'll have infinite opportunities to expand our 2029 database. Our latest update brought several dozen fresh faces into the mix, but we're just getting started.   Today's feature on new additions is focused on the frontcourt. It's easy to get drawn to athletes who can put the ball away with ruthless efficiency, and these rising sophomores could do plenty of that on the prep stage this fall.    Green's inclusion in the 2029 watch list was overdue. Her Club Legacy 15 Alpha team saw incredible success on the regional circuit this spring, culminating in a bid-earning trip to the Salt Lake City Showdown. This versatile athlete's dominance continued at USAV Nationals, where Green locked down the middle blocker spot against elite competition. Green has also shown a willingness to flex over to the right side and wield her quick arm behind the setter. This do-everything mindset will serve Green well as she accompanies Bennington in its transition to the Class A ranks.     Club Legacy's incredible cast of 15s gems extends to this year's 15 Bravo crew. Stater was a clear leader for this team, providing six-rotation influence at the outside hitter spot. This feature primarily focuses on termination, and Stater logged her share of eye-popping kills along the net. However, her presence as a middle-back asset cannot be ignored. Stater was not afraid to occupy space in the serve-receive pattern and give 15 Bravo's offense a chance to operate. That ability to elevate the entire squad is a sure way to land on our watch list.     VCNebraska 15 White offered a wealth of fresh faces for our watch list, and DeFreece assured her spot through this spring's success. She was a prominent member of the 15 White attack, and she took more out-of-system swings than you'd expect from an opposite. VCNebraska did not hesitate to lob a high ball to their right-side hitter and allow DeFreece to find a way. Her penchant for bettering the ball makes her a clear candidate to lead future VCN lineups.     Let's double down on the VCN 15 White agenda. While DeFreece was operating at opposite, Pella was curating her own hard-hitting brand in the middle. The Freeman sophomore boasts incredible power in front of the setter and has expanded her attacking window off of one foot. 15 White can plug this adaptable athlete into either middle blocker position to harness her wide array of frontcourt strengths. Even if Pella is not the one to put the ball away, her constant availability opened up the 15 White offense and helped others thrive. This fast-rising middle blocker is eager to join the defending Class C2 champs.     Omaha Westview is about to get plenty of help from the Class of 2029. Blanke joins a long list of high-impact sophomores ready to take the Wolverines to the next level in the metro area. Our most recent look at Blanke came as she patrolled the net for Nebraska Elite 15 Echo. Her physicality, effort, and unwavering pursuit lifted 15 Echo to a top-five finish at NLQ, among many other tournament triumphs. Blanke has an incredible knack for putting herself in good spots to generate positive block touches. She can also put a lid on opposing attackers for straight-down stuffs, too. Brucke's progression as a go-to attacker will make her the ultimate catalyst for Omaha Westview's continued growth.     Let's get Banzai VBC in on the action. The club's 15 Select lineup made impressive strides during late-season action, and Peterson was a vital part of the effort. This agile middle blocker makes quality reads in the front row, giving 15 Select a solid blocking presence from pin to pin. Peterson's role also evolved from one rotation to the next, so we saw her several reps as a middle-opposite hybrid. We had our eye on several of 15 Select's standouts after the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament, and Peterson was bound to break into our watch list before the fall.     As we looked back at the 2025 high school season, we found a handful of last year's freshmen who should have been in our database sooner. Alexander is a perfect example. Falls City High School was not afraid to lean into its freshman class last fall, and Alexander joined the youth movement with a triple-digit kill total in her high school debut. In fact, the Tigers' top four scorers from last fall were all underclassmen. It was the ideal venue for Alexander to exhibit her explosive approach and well-placed finesse shots on the pins. Her range will expand alongside her stellar 2029 peers at Falls City.     Here's another one of those hidden gems from the high school side. Cole enjoyed a strong debut with Omaha Christian Academy, logging about a kill per set while establishing herself as one of the Eagles' best wing blockers. OCA got two of its top three terminators from last year's freshman class, so Cole is poised for further gains with her upstart prep crew. We've always emphasized that Omaha never runs out of names for our database, and Cole's emergence is a precursor to the next wave. Look out for second-year stars in the Big O.
