The State Rankings release is here!!! We have unveiled the top 158 players in this latest publishing of the 2027 class. We have been watching the 2027 class very closely throughout the entire club & high school season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.

[player_tooltip player_id='443047' first='Kayla' last='Moul'] is 5'11" at the outside hitter position and the way she uses that length is what makes the profile worth paying attention to. She generates a hitting window and approach angle at the top of her swing that creates a genuinely difficult problem for a block to solve and the arm speed she brings to contact means the ball is moving with real authority when it gets there. What Prep Dig scouts have noted specifically about her game is the vision behind the swing. She is not simply swinging into coverage and hoping the defense misses. She is identifying the angles, picking her spots, and using tips and redirects at the right moments to keep the defense from loading up on her primary shot. Her serve receive holds up under pressure, which is the detail that allows a 5'11" outside hitter to stay on the floor in all six rotations rather than being sheltered in the back row. She has been developed within [program_tooltip program_id='431050' first='Alamo' last='Volleyball Association'] throughout her club career, competing against some of the stronger 17s rosters in Texas and sharpening the composure she brings to tight moments in the process. The move from the watch list to the ranked list reflects cumulative production across both her high school and club seasons and college coaches who have not made time to get to San Antonio to evaluate her are running out of opportunities before her senior year closes. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

[player_tooltip player_id='808163' first='Breya' last='Dawson'] is a 6'2" outside and right side hitter who is committed to Cal Berkeley and the scouting that led to that commitment reflects a player who has been doing things right on both pins for some time. Prep Dig evaluators who tracked her at USAV Nationals specifically called out her vision while attacking as one of the more advanced qualities in her game, noting that she identifies open spots to strike at a high level. That kind of shot selection at her height gives a defense very few reliable answers because she can go line, angle, or tip from the same approach without telegraphing her intentions early. Her passing held up well throughout national-level tournament play, handling serves directed at her without the platform breakdown that tends to show up in pin hitters who have not been developed as true six-rotation players. The combination of a high contact point, intelligent shot selection, and the ability to stay on the floor in serve receive is exactly the profile that programs at Berkeley's level recruit and the results she has delivered against national-level competition validate every bit of that interest. Please help us congratulate her on earning this spot amongst the best in Texas.

[player_tooltip player_id='578520' first='Mackenzi' last='Law'] plays both the right side and middle blocker positions, which is a front row profile that requires a player to be effective in two completely different attacking and blocking contexts without losing production in either. She made a commitment to San Jose State and chose to drive to Dallas from Oklahoma to compete on TAV 17 Black Haroun this club season, putting herself in one of the most demanding 17s competitive environments in the nation. The right side demands an attacker who can generate offense from a location that is set with less frequency and often with less perfect placement, and Law has developed the swing mechanics and court awareness to produce in those conditions. As a middle blocker she has to process the game at speed, read setter tendencies, and close on the block with timing and angle accuracy. The fact that a college program has committed her to play at the next level while she is still developing those dual skill sets suggests the ceiling in both roles is substantial. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.
