<p>On Thursday, November 5, we were at Delmar Fieldhouse in Houston, where the Dawson Eagles and the Cypress Ranch Mustangs clashed in the Regional Semifinals. After dropping the first set, Cy Ranch came back to win the match 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-18) and advance.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Bello had an outstanding performance and played a central role in the massive comeback that got Cy Ranch into the Regional Final. After making a couple of offensive errors early on, the sophomore outside hitter found her rhythm at the net and was virtually unstoppable. Bello had more than a few big bounces when hitting from the left, the right and the middle, and, perhaps more importantly, was very effective in out-of-system plays. She responded well in the few times she was blocked, too, showing confidence to keep swinging and maturity to find solutions. Bello's passing was excellent all match long, and she played good defense as well, getting nice digs in the middle and the right back positions.</p>

The junior middle's game improved a lot from set one, and once she started dominating Dawson's middles at the net, the Mustangs started playing better as a whole. Miller also showed great energy in every play and positively impacted her teammates with her celebrations. She did well offensively, scoring off swings and tips, got blocks in key moments, and also contributed on the back row, getting some digs and delivering an excellent out-of-system set.</p>

The senior outside hitter was very important offensively, especially with her ability to score in out-of-system plays. Reynolds used her length extremely well at the pin, making contact with the ball at a very high point and standing out for her vision and decision-making. She also provided a solid blocking presence and was efficient in serve-receive.</p>

The junior libero was very good in serve-receive, covering a large area of the court and handling some tough serves that went her way. Harvey was very difficult to score on when playing defense because she showed excellent ball control to deal with hard-driven swings and was reading tips and setter dumps extremely well, getting to them early. The libero also showed great determination and fighting spirit and recovered some tough spilled digs, giving her team another chance to fight for points.</p>

The sophomore outside hitter was excellent at the pin for them and led their scoring efforts by showing impressive athleticism and decision-making at the net. Yakopich was very aggressive every time she went for the ball and kept swinging hard even after she made errors or was blocked. The pin hitter also stood out with her passing, remaining accurate and productive in that area of the game during the entire match.</p>

The sophomore right side was very effective offensively and kept her efficiency level high throughout the match. Black used her 6'4" frame well to have an advantage over opposing blockers, but also did very well when hitting a quicker set on the right and showing excellent vision to find gaps on the block. She also used her big frame to bother Cy Ranch's pin hitters at the net and got a couple of blocks.</p>
