Carolyn Maser Carolyn Maser 6'1" | S Grand Island Central Catholic | 2024 State NE 6’0 Setter Class of 2024 High School: Grand Island Central Catholic Club: Nebraska Juniors Black 15
WOW! I was in awe of her effortless ability at the setter’s position. Watching her ability and ease at the position you would of never guessed she was only a freshman! She has long levers and great hands. She squares well to her hitters regadless of where they are on the floor. She is very strong and was really able to push balls to the pin and give her hitters great balls to terminate. She also played great floor defense, and put up a great out of system ball. She has a very high ceiling!
Anna Weberg 5’7″ DS/L Class of 2023 High School: Omaha Skutt Club: Premier 16 Black
Anna was on the first court I watched yesterday and she stood out immediately. I could tell she had been trained well by her high school coach, Renee Saunders by her great ability to read hitters and talk on the floor. She had great ball control in the drill she was in with her partner. She played relentless floor defense, hustled after every ball whether she could get to it or not and was constantly communicating with her teammates on the floor, which some of them she literally had just met that morning! One particular play stood out to me was on a really hard hit that I thought no one would get too, she held out her platform at a perfect angle to dig up a near perfect ball to the well, to allow the setter to give the hitter a ball to terminate. She made it look so easy and effortless. During the wash drills she did a nice job of swinging from the back row too. Keep her on your radar with her high volleyball IQ!
Channatee Robles Channatee Robles 5'10" | OH Norfolk Catholic | 2023 State NE 5’10″ OH Class of 2023 High School: Norfolk Catholic Club: Norfolk Catholic
I watched her play in the first round at the C-2 State Tournament in November and was impressed with her then. This time I got a chance to see her up close and she did not dissapoint. She has long levers and jumps so well and has a quick arm swing with a high contact point and reach. She also swings big and smart on every swing. She played really good floor defense and did a nice job of reading opposing hitters. She made an outstanding play with a great pancake dig to swing momentum during wash drills.
Destiny Ndam-Simpson Destiny Ndam-Simpson 6'1" | OH Omaha Westside | 2023 State #37 Nation NE 6’2″ OH Class of 2023 High School: Bellevue West Club: Nebraska Elite
This was my top athlete (84) at any position to watch on Sunday. She was so much fun to watch! This girl is explosive, powerful and quick. I loved the energy she brought to the floor and she looked like she was having so much fun. She transitioned so well off the block and elevates so well on her swing. She is fast and can put the ball down anywhere on the floor. She has a high ceiling for sure as a sophomore. Keep her on your radar!
