Follow us as we venture back to H-Town to cover a few more athletes and officially welcome the 2024 class to the Prep Dig State Rankings. We have covered some in the Houston area before but we are back here again as they have tons of talented players on our list. We are extremely excited to cover this class now that they have had their high school season complete. We have been very active in communicating with College Recruiting Directors all over the state so that we can bring the best to the eyes of the college coaches we have in our database that read our articles. So without further ado, here are a few more of the standouts from the 2024 class from the Houston area.

Please welcome Lauren as we currently have her ranked as the 21st best prospect overall and the 8th best outside in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a six rotation high flying pin hitter from the famed Houston Juniors volleyball club. This young lady can fly and bang with the best of them. The true point scorer is the daughter of former Olympian and volleyball great Tara Cross-Battle. The apple does not fall far from the tree here. Her hang-time is something that catches the eye to the average spectator but coaches will truly fall in love with her contact/arm swing. When I referenced her point scoring ability most people would assume she just has a cannon. Well she does possess the ability to obliterate a volleyball, but what is more impressive is her volleyball IQ to read holes in the defense and then shot it up when she needs to in order to score. She is well beyond her years and will be a force to be reckoned with. Please help us welcome her to the State Rankings as we are excited to cover her this club season and for the future.
Mariana Buchanan Mariana Buchanan 5'10" | RS Cy Falls | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-10 Right Side (HS: Cypress Falls/Club: Houston Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Mariana as we currently have her ranked as the 24th best overall prospect and the 4th best right side in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a stud on the right side from Houston Juniors. She has blossomed into a shut down right side who is able to stifle her opponents with her long reach and solid press at the net. This young lady is capable of playing on either pin and can fly during her attack. She reaches extremely high and hits the ball with so much power both line and angle. She will be the next great outside hitter to come out of the Cypress area. As a freshman on varsity she has already earned 16-6A 1st Team All District. We are excited to have her in the Prep Dig Family and are excited to watch her progress on the court. Isabella Thompson Isabella Thompson 6'2" | MB Friendswood | 2024 State TX [2024] 6-1 Middle (HS: Friendswood/Club: Houston Stellar/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Isabella as we currently have her ranked as the 31st best prospect overall and the 8th top middle in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She has already caught the attention of many publications as a top middle in the state and has received many accolades including the AVCA Phenom watch list. Miss Thompson has earned academic all district and also made 2nd Team All District for 22-5A. She was a big reason why her Friendswood program went deep in the UIL 5A State playoffs and will be back there every year that she is on the team. This past season on varsity she was able to amass 75 kills, she hit .217, and had 76 blocks as a freshman. We are excited to cover her for the future and can’t wait to see her progress.
