The top-ranked prospect of our 2021 Prep Dig State Rankings was one of the best players on the team during the tournament. The 5’11” showed a strong game at the net and was also very effective at the backcourt. McClellen benefited from her outstanding jumping ability to dominate the net and also scored quite a few times from the back row. She was also solid in the team’s digging and passing efforts.

[player_tooltip player_id="91109" first="Alison" last="Buchholz"] – Setter – HS: Jesuit – 2021

The team’s starting setter, [player_tooltip player_id="91109" first="Alison" last="Buchholz"] left a positive impression in the tournament. The 5’7” setter is very creative and dynamic and excelled in her ball distribution and accuracy. The way she ran the team’s offense was very interesting as she frequently involved the middle blockers and back row hitters on her combinations, always using a lot of speed. She ranks fourth on our 2021 Prep Dig State Rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="91114" first="Brezlyn" last="Langer"] – Middle-Blocker – HS: Sunset – 2021

The second-best ranked middle-blocker on our 2021 Prep Dig State Rankings, [player_tooltip player_id="91114" first="Brezlyn" last="Langer"] ranks ninth overall. At 6’1”, she’s extremely physical and uses the tools at her disposal in a very efficient way to be a dominant presence for the team. In Houston, she impressed with a big block and a very effective offense game. She didn’t start playing volleyball until a couple of years ago and there’s still a lot of room for her to improve her game.

[player_tooltip player_id="91120" first="Jasmine" last="Sells"] – Outside Hitter/Right Sider – HS: Lincoln – 2021

[player_tooltip player_id="91120" first="Jasmine" last="Sells"]’ versatility was on display during the tournament as the player, originally listed as an outside hitter, was used as a right sider during matches. She did a great job coming off the bench and it wasn’t a coincidence that the team had good runs while she was on the court. She has a lot of offensive firepower at 5’11” and is one of those hitters who don’t get intimidated by opposing blocks and always trusts their power to score points.
