Welcome to the list ladies…
Kamryn Scroggins Kamryn Scroggins 5'9" | S Dawson | 2022 State TX [2022] 5-9 Setter (HS: Dawson/Club: Houston Juniors/Verbal: University of New Orleans)
We are very pleased to introduce Kamryn to our readers as the 72nd best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a great setter for Glenda Dawson High School and also for the nationally recognized Houston Juniors Volleyball program. She has been amazing so far this season for Vandergrift as they have been dominant in the young season as they are currently 30-4 overall and 3-0 so far in district play. Miss Scroggins has been phenomenal in her four years on varsity and has some amazing stats all around. She has tallied 3361 assists, 175 aces, 1165 digs, and even added 258 kills so far and the season is still not over. She has been a starter on varsity since stepping on campus as a freshman. When you watch her play you see the athleticism that she possesses in every single aspect of the sport. She contacts the ball very high with her hands and has such a fast release to any location with ease. We are happy to have her listed in the State Rankings. Please congratulate her on being one of the best players in the Lone Star State.
Maggie Boyd Maggie Boyd 5'10" | OH Marcus | 2022 State TX [2022] 5-10 Outside (HS: Flower Mound Marcus/Club: 692 Beach/Verbal: UCLA {beach})
Please welcome Maggie to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings. We have her listed as the 74th best overall prospect in the state. Miss Boyd is a fantastic dual sport athlete from the Flower Mound area who plays at Marcus High School and also for the 692 Beach Volleyball club. She is committed to playing at the next level in the sand with UCLA. It takes a special player to be able to not only play but excel at both indoor and beach volleyball as they seem similar but require vastly different skill-sets. In order to be competitive in the sand a player needs to be not only well rounded in every aspect, but powerful in each skill-set. This young lady is a phenomenal scorer for Marcus regularly tallying double digit kills. We are happy to have her in the Prep Dig family now and will be watching her senior season closely and reporting on her play. Please help us congratulate her on her State Ranking.
Lindsey Harris Lindsey Harris 6'3" | MB Eaton | 2022 State TX [2022] 6-3 Middle (HS: Eaton/Club: Texas Advantage /Verbal: Elon)
We are proud to now announce Lindsey’s ranking in our State Rankings. She is currently listed as the 78th best overall prospect in the 2022 class. We wrote about her a few months back when we previewed her varsity squad and here is a little refresher from the article, “She is a fantastic middle for Eaton High School and also for the nationally recognized Texas Advantage Volleyball. We are very pleased to announce that she recently chose to verbally commit to Elon University. Elon will love the net presence that Miss Harris brings to the table. She has been a stud for V.R. Eaton as she has tallied 151 blocks,, 372 kills, a hitting percentage of .313, and also 65 digs in only two years on varsity. She has the ability to play both middle and on the right side pin. She is a very technically sound and fast middle who excels on the blocking side. Her press on the net is something that cannot be ignored from her opponents. Everything about her play will translate very well to the next level and we think she has tons of potential to get even better. I love how well she reads the offense of her opponent to set up defensively. It always seems as if she is one step ahead of the opposing setter. Please congratulate her on her great accomplishment of playing at the next level. We look forward to covering her senior season this year.” She has not slowed down at all since the season began. Her and the rest of the Eaton Eagles have been steamrolling the competition to a 23-3 overal record so far. They are just starting district play and should be a shoe-in for the UIL playoffs. Please welcome her to the State Rankings and congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the entire state. Stay tuned for more from Lindsey and the Eagles as they have a great shot at competing for the State Title. We will be watching closely.
