From Holley- “Ziah is new to our team this year and a really great addition. She nails multiple ten-foot line kills from the middle of every tournament and is a big cheerleader for everyone on the team. I am excited to see what she does at Washington State because I know she’ll be a great addition to their team.”

Sneva was part of a very tall and talented MB rotation for NPJ Seattle 17 National. The Peninsula prospect worked very hard to close the block, against teams with fast tempo and experienced setters. Her quickness and footwork running a slide was evident, the 6’2″ 2025 looks solid attacking off one foot.

NPJ 17 Seattle National has gained a significant player in Sneva, whose prowess on the court is well documented. At 6’2″, Sneva boasts exceptional skills that enable her to punish opposing defenses, particularly in crucial moments. This season, she has honed her transition footwork, allowing her to be more readily available for swings and to challenge opposing middles. To secure victories this weekend, Sneva will need to collaborate with Holly McFadden and Gabi Smith, both of whom are impressive middle blockers in their own right, to counter the high-octane offensive game of their opponents. We look forward to seeing how this formidable trio will perform over the holiday weekend.

Watching Peninsula, you appreciate how much work Sneva did this season when she is the main focus of other teams defensive game plan. Battling head to head against Mead’s excellent MB

– Sneva was able to pound down her own kills and gave the Seahawks a great chance to win in each set against the eventual state champions. Mead was pulling in for a triple-block when they diagnosed a Sneva opportunity, and she made the most of it taking swings at the edge of the block or to the deep corner to score.

Sneva is showing her versatility and growth as an attacker this season. She is blasting away at teams from both pins as well as the middle, and has increased her hitting percentage while taking far more swings than she did as a sophomore. Peninsula has needed her to fill the role of #1 attacker, and she has delivered, helping the Seahawks to a 10-4 record that has them in second place of the South Sound Conference.

Peninsula had a great run at state, expect to see it again this season. They will be dynamic up front, with the 6’2″ Sneva holding down one middle spot. She is powerful as an attacker and can get up and pound the seam or the quick. If the Peninsula defense can find ways to keep Sneva and fellow middle

Sneva is a blocker with a huge wingspan, and she can close the block in a hurry on opposing attackers. her setter on the all-star team will look to feed her the ball high to take advantage of her reach, she is a difficult attacker to stop when she is one-on-one.

An excellent athlete who is just scratching the potential she has, Sneva flows in and out of transition easily and can hang in the air before hammering down a kill. She was very good winning jousts at the net this season, and should continue to increase her power as she gets older.

The Seahawks are a fun team to watch with excellent attackers across the front line. The offensive firepower has been a problem all season long for opponents and the team arrives at the SunDome with a #3 seed and an 18-2 record.

and sister senior outside Laney Sneva are vital to the attack along with outsides Alex Sims and Langley Griffin. Ziah is long and athletic in the middle, she has continued to improve attacking off one foot, not many teams have had success slowing down the slide when it’s clicking for Peninsula. Her blocking is fundamentally sound with a solid press, hitters have to account for her when she is across the net. The Seahawks lost in the title game last season and will look to take one last step forward this year.

Sneva is helping lead the Seahawks to a first-division finish in the 3A South Sound League. She has been attacking from the middle and the right and has great length and athleticism for the position. She has been dominant as an attacker at times, leading the team with a .371 hitting percentage and posting a .700 % hitting clip in a recent sweep versus Timberline. One to watch as the stakes get bigger down the stretch run of the season!
