Sydney Karjala - CHAVC 17 Black
At 5’8, Karjala is an impact athlete for this team from the setter position. She can be a tough read with the consistent balance and high hand position she creates. There is a lot of potential in this squad including some dynamic action from the middle. When in system, Karjala has good ability to create space for her attackers to challenge defenses well in the air.

Shattles has good touch and control on the ball as her movements to contact are simple at redirecting the pass towards her attacker. She has consistent tempo and location with good range in her distribution. At 5’10, she is really good on the move with priority to get her hands on the ball versus using her platform. This team finished 3rd at NEQ earning a bid to the upcoming GJNC event. She is committed to New Hampshire.

She has good size at 5’11 and can distribute the full range of the court in location and tempo with good footwork and high hand position.
