Taylor, who was a stud for Langham Creek High School and the Houston Juniors club before committing to Minnesota, offered the U.S. a strong presence in the middle. She got to play in all nine matches, starting in seven of them, and had an output of 81 points, good enough for fourth on the team and contributing on both sides of the ball. Taylor’s blocking presence was massive and she tied for fifth in the entire tournament with 29 stuffs. The middle scored 11 points in the gold medal match and was instrumental in a quarterfinal victory over Italy, registering 19 points, seven of them in blocks.

Taylor will be more important than ever to Langham Creek in her senior season. The towering middle has been a key piece for them since her freshman season, but in 2024 the team’s offense will run a lot through her. Having a tremendous height advantage over almost every opposing blocker, Taylor has grown used to scoring on a high volume. It won’t be any different in the upcoming season, when she’ll undoubtedly be the team’s top offensive option. Expect her to continue being dominant with her blocking too as she’s been consistently improving her reading of the game and pairing that with her impressive length.

With Taylor in the middle, HJV 17 Elite snatched a fifth-place finish with three wins and two losses. The towering middle was extremely effective with her blocking, using her long arms and solid mobility to make plays above the net. When Taylor gets to read the play well and to make it to the pin on time, she’s a truly scary blocker, who can shut down any opponent. Her offense was also consistent during the day and she had great success hitting the slide set.

With three wins and two losses, Taylor and her HJV 17 Elite team secured a fifth-place finish at the Tour of Texas #2. One of the tallest players in the tournament, she was dominant with her blocking and made a difference for her team at the net. Taylor was very quick to put her arms above the net and very aggressive with her moves, sealing the space available to opposing hitters. The Minnesota commit also showed she continues to improve offensively and made more of an impact on that side of the game as well.

Langham Creek’s towering middle got her game going on set two and from there on, she was extremely dominant at the net. Taylor wasn’t much involved in the team’s offense at the start, but once she started getting set more often, she became a key piece in the Lobos’ victory. Her size advantage against Cy-Fair’s middle was brutal and she took full advantage of it to score at an excellent rate, even throwing in a smart tip to mix things up every once in a while. Her blocking was also a major factor in the final two sets as besides getting several stops (many of which on Cy-Fair’s leading scorer

One of the top blockers in the Houston area, Taylor will lead Langham Creek’s efforts at the net. Extremely long, she consistently improved her blocking over the last two years, developing her reading of the game and increasing her ability to anticipate moves and stop opponents at the net. Taylor has also become a very efficient offensive player as her career progressed. If at the start she would heavily rely on her high contact point to beat blockers, now she can hit different sets down the middle and find some great angles to put the ball down.

Taylor will provide a solid presence in the middle for HJV 16 Elite in the 16 Open division. She first emerged as a prospect with excellent size and very high potential, but has been, year after year, developing her game and becoming more of the player people expect her to become. Taylor has always been an outstanding blocker and she just continues to get better in that area as she becomes more athletic and mobile and makes a better reading of the game. Her offense has also improved in leaps and bounds as if in the past she only score because of her high contact point, now she can hit several different sets at a very high rate.
