High School Team Feature: Clear Springs Chargers

Today, we'll highlight the Clear Springs Chargers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"large"} --> <p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>The Squad</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Chargers entered the season with some important players to replace as last year's starting outside hitters Grace King and Arion Keeton, middle blocker Kaitlyn Johnson and libero Tali Lew all graduated. Her all-around game is an asset for Clear Springs and the team has her setting when at the back and hitting when at the net and she thrives in both roles. Richardson runs a fast-paced offense but is not the kind of setter that overloads her main hitter, sharing the ball among all of them instead. She has good size at 5'9” and a great touch on the ball that's capable of turning out-of-system passes into very accurate sets to her teammates. Young is extremely athletic and uses her jumping ability and her long arms to stand in the way of opposing outside hitters with her big and technical block. The reasons for her dynamic play at the net are her quick feet, which allow her to be an offensive option even in transition and to move quickly from pin to pin when blocking, and her excellent leaping ability.
