The class of 2023 has some big commits with a lot of talent from athletes who are still in the recruiting process or have chosen not to play at the next level. Here are the top uncommitted athletes in the class of 2023.
Rylee is a smart and powerful six-rotation outside hitter. Her swings are tough to defend because she is very savvy at mixing up the pace and location of her hits. She is great in transition and out-of-system balls. Rylee is also very consistent on serve receive and defense. She is dynamic and gritty on the court and is an excellent recruit in this class.
Kyra is an explosive athlete. She has a big approach, a fast arm swing, and powerful contact on the ball. She excels out of the middle and on the right side. Her blocking is just as explosive as her swings and she adds a very dynamic aspect to any team she is on. She is a fun athlete with a lot of potential to excel at the collegiate level.
Bella is a dynamite middle who dominated at the state tournament. She was a key player on DSHA’s run to the state championship. Bella is a great blocker who is quick and smart on the court. She has a great vision of the opposite side of the court and uses that to her advantage. Bella is also a really high-level hitter.
Taylor is a pin hitter with a high reach. She is dynamic on the court and has a lot of experience playing at a high level. Taylor has the potential to play all six rotations but excels in the front row. She is disciplined in her transition and is solid in coverage. Taylor is a fun athlete to watch because she has a powerful swing but can utilize different shots and tips.
Katherine is a gritty and talented athlete that would do well on nearly any team. She can swing but is equally as valuable out of the back row. Katherine is the kind of athlete that gets things done. She will manufacture points, lay out on defense, take control on serve receive, and go on large serving runs. She is a high-volume player with great endurance and a high volleyball IQ.
Olivia was another key player in DSHA’s state championship title. She is consistent and confident in the back row. Olivia has a clean platform and plays well under pressure. She impressed me in DSHA’s sectional matches and throughout the state tournament. She has good court awareness and is a very talented passer on serve receive and defense. She also has a lethal serve.
Annika is an explosive pin hitter with a huge ceiling. She plays with grit and determination on the court. Annika is the type of player who wants the ball in big moments, and she proves herself time and time again. She manufactures points for any team she plays on and has a powerful arm swing. She is a talented six-rotation athlete who can play in the front and back row. She helped Sauk Prarie earn a state runner-up title this year and was impressive every time she stepped on the court.
Jenna is an impressive setter who runs the court well and is talented on the right side as well. She is a leader on the court and has clean form with a great tempo on the ball. She is a fun athlete to watch and has enormous potential. Every time I see her play, she is leveling up her game. She is gritty and competitive on the court.
