Minus will be setting for United VBA 16 Adidas in the 16 USA division of the Show Me Qualifier. She emerged as a promising setter during the last club season and has continued to develop since then. Minus is a technical ballhandler, who makes excellent choices with her ball distribution and knows how to adjust to the flow of the game. She’s always precise when setting to either pin and also plays with great energy and communication. Minus played as a defensive specialist in high school and is also capable of making a difference on the backcourt.

Minus was a very nice surprise during the Nike Cross Court Classic, when I first watched her play. Playing with great energy and being very dynamic, she was a key player in her United VBA 15 Purple team that week. Minus is always very accurate with her locations and sets hittable balls even when out of system. Defense was another of her strengths and is one area of her game in which she has great confidence after playing as a defensive specialist in the last high school season. Minus would also play as a hitter when at the net and did a very good job, using her vision and skills to put the ball down consistently.

Minus will be setting for United VBA 15 Purple in the 15 Bid division this coming weekend. Although her ballhandling is excellent, expect to see a lot more from her as she’s really complete player. Minus likes to run a fast-paced offense when in system, but remains surprisingly accurate and reliable when she has to work with passes away from the net. She has a hybrid role with her team, setting when at the backcourt and hitting when at the net, and gets to produce regardless of what she’s tasked with. Minus also has strong defensive skills, having played as a defensive specialist in the last high school season, and also makes great impact on the backcourt.

Minus’ excellent all-around game was of great value for her United VBA 15 Purple team over the weekend. Splitting her time between setting and hitting duties, she impacted the game in a variety of different ways. United’s offense was really fast-paced when in system, but when the team couldn’t send the pass towards the net, Minus had no problem in fixing things with her ballhandling and putting her hitters in a good position to score. She also displayed excellent skills when playing defense on the backcourt and great vision and power to side out at the net.

Although her United VBA 15 Purple team didn’t have a very good weekend, winning only two matches, Minus left a very strong impression. She played a dual role, setting when at the back and hitting at the net, and was very efficient on both of them. Minus is extremely precise with her locations and was able to dish perfect sets to the pin even when working with passes well off the net. When is system, she ran a dynamic, fast-paced offense. The setter played as a defensive specialist in the last high school season and that showed in her game as she made some big digs and worked really hard on the back. Offensively, Minus displayed good explosiveness, vision and skills to score.
