Setters that are poised for a big Spring season

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These setters will have a few great months ahead.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Katrina Catalan</strong> (2024) | S | Storm<br>Katrina Catalan catches attention with her left handed tip, one that happens quickly.&nbsp; She waits for her hitters to be ready to hit and then drops the one handed attack to the floor. &nbsp;When not making plays on offense, she is setting up the offense.&nbsp; How Catalan does this is with a split step before setting footwork, a consistent contact height, and a right arm that stays with the set when she moves.&nbsp; The last point is one that is important because if her right arm dropped, then her sets would likely get too close to the net.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='161299' first='Reagan' last='Wilkerson']</strong> (2024) | S | Rage Volleyball<br>Being a leader in the setter position, [player_tooltip player_id='161299' first='Reagan' last='Wilkerson'] shows excellent excitement for her teammates.&nbsp; She has a great release of the ball that does adapt well when she has to make a short set.&nbsp; That also means Wilkerson delivers well when she is on the move.&nbsp; Not only does this include setting to the part of the court where the pass is, but also setting all the way across to the part of the court the pass did not go to.&nbsp; Her high contact point when setting a slide makes for an effective set behind her.<br><br><strong>Emma Seelenbacher</strong> (2025) | S | Diablo Valley<br>This 5-1 setter, Emma Seelenbacher, has a variety of options for her offense.&nbsp; She makes a right handed hit in the front row that is done an impressive four different ways.&nbsp; Those are rotating her hand clockwise, counter clockwise, turning and hitting, and turning her wrist one half turn around.&nbsp; Seelenbacher does great at following the percentages in volleyball and sets to the outside hitters often.&nbsp; Three consistencies she has are her contact, follow through, and bump set location. &nbsp;What is really great is that she maintains these consistencies while staying on her toes and running.<br><strong><br>Kaylin Currie</strong> (2025) | S | LAVA West <br>Getting to the middle of the court ready and available is something that Kaylin Currie seems to have a magnet for.&nbsp; Ready to lead the offense, she moves around the court well being aware of her teammates.&nbsp; Her body and shoulders can put a lot of strength into the ball allowing her to set to an outside hitter 25 feet away and sets back to an opposite hitter when near the left sideline.&nbsp; On defense, Currie anticipates an opponent hit well, especially when reading an offspeed hit.&nbsp; Additionally, she directs her digs very well to her libero teammate.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
