Prep Dig has once again renewed our partnership with USA Volleyball to run the Pre-Tournament Showcase the day before the tourney starts. It will be held at the McCormick Place Convention Center where the tourney is being held. We are going to be previewing some of the players who have signed up to participate. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Without further ado, here are a few players who you should be watching at the showcase.
Morgan Warren Morgan Warren 5'7" | S Hendrickson | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-7 Setter (HS: Hendrickson/Club: Austin Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Morgan is currently ranked as the 102nd best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Hendrickson High School and also plays club for the Austin Skyline program. We have covered Morgan quite a few times over the last couple of years and she continues to stand out every time we see her perform. She is constantly improving her game and loves to compete on the volleyball court. Miss Warren is a silky smooth distributor of the rock and we cannot wait to see her compete with the best at the showcase. Her compact frame moves around the court so well due to her very fast footwork. We talk a lot about a high motor and that is exactly what you get when you watch her play the setting position. She is a natural competitor and gives her all on the court. One aspect that I think all college coaches will love is how the ball comes out of her hands so fast and precise. Her hands are an exact mirror image of each other during her release which has the words consistency written all over it. If there are any programs that still need a solid leader and exceptionally talented jump-setting and fast paced setter, look no further.
Delaney Ward Delaney Ward 6'0" | MB Kaukauna | 2025 State WI [2025] 6-0 Middle (HS: Kaukauna/Club: One Wisconsin/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Delaney is currently ranked as the 94th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Wisconsin State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Kaukauna High School and club for One Wisconsin. Miss Ward has some great size and raw power in her tall frame. She is pretty explosive with her arm and runs a very solid thirty one shoot set with her squad. What is very exciting about her play is that she is able to play right side when her team needs a change in strategy and she does a great job shutting down the opposing outside hitters. I love how much fire she has celebrating with her team after a point is scored. This will be very helpful to any program who is looking for someone to add some intangibles to their roster. As a server, she also unleashes that power from the baseline with some solid float serves that have great pace to them. We are very intrigues to see how she fares against some top competition in the showcase. Stay tuned to see more on Miss Ward.
Bailey Wallace Bailey Wallace 5'6" | DS/L Loyola Academy | 2025 State IL [2025] 5-6 Libero (HS: Loyola Academy/Club: Adversity/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Bailey is currently ranked as the 98th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Illinois State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Loyola Academy and club for Adversity. A lot of liberos specialize in defense or serve receive but Miss Wallace can do both at a very high level. I love how she keeps her platform well away from her body as the served ball is traveling toward her. This allows her to create a very precise angle by dropping her shoulders and then having room to still absorb the contact in order to deliver a great ball to her setter. I often look for this skill in liberos that we scout because it is a great indicator of who will be able to pass at a high clip with much harder driven serves in the future. You can see that she is a true master of her craft as she holds her pose with her platform well after the ball has contacted her arms. This shows how she is not lazy with her arms and that she also understands the importance of not moving her arms during contact. I cannot wait to see her in action with the best of the best at the showcase before nationals. She is going to put on a good show for every scout in the building.
