Houston Open 2023 – Standout Setters

She has very solid technical skills and can remain precise even when working with passes off the net. The senior setter moves well on the court and is also very active on defense, getting a lot of touches from right back position. She was very intelligent with her ball distribution, sticking to her main hitters in clutch moments but involving the others when the match allowed her to. A lefty, she was very creative when moving her hitters around in her offensive schemes and consistently found ways to get them in good position to score. One of the Mustangs' captains, she played with a lot of energy and frequently pushed her teammates on the court. Her playmaking was always excellent, especially when connecting with her twin sister Brenna, and she was great at keeping the team going during matches. Fledderman would turn into a pin hitter when she was at the net and had great success swinging from the left. A setter with a good combination of size and technical skills, she is excellent at reading the game and adjusting her offensive strategy accordingly and finding ways to facilitate the team's scoring efforts. She's very clean technically and her excellent ball control allowed her to build the offensive system around the team's strong middle blocker duo as even when the pass wasn't ideal, she was ideal able to force plays with them.
