NKYVC 17-1 Tsunami field loaded team per usual

Grace continued the long line of Panda liberos constantly hustling after balls and has a nice serve recording team-highs of 487 digs and 48 aces. Tilden packs a powerful punch from the outside as evidenced by a team-high 355 kills on a deep squad. Grace also hopes to contribute at setter and Tilden at defensive specialist for the Tsunami.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='477121' first='Lacey' last='Hostetler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='159391' first='Azaria' last='Sweet'] also hope to continue to improve at defensive specialist positions with the Tsunami. Sweet dug up an astounding 550 balls for the Boone County Rebels this past fall and Hostetler made the most of her opportunities doing the same for Notre Dame, finishing second with 262.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Emsley Venard looks to set the ball to a variety of talented hitters. The West Virginia University commit knows how to distribute the ball with precision as evidenced this past fall when she finished with 940 assists, which was good for second overall in the rugged Girls Greater Catholic League with St. Ursula.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='159378' first='Corrine' last='Blackburn'], Sophia Loomis from Loveland (Ohio) and [player_tooltip player_id='159327' first='Riley' last='McCloskey'] give Tsunami options in the middle. Blackburn is the team's tallest player at 6-3. She can place the ball over blockers with her hard swings and even tip to open spots. McCloskey not only swings hard, but also blocks hard in the middle making things tough on opponents. Loomis also gives the Tsunami size at 6-1.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='231876' first='Ella' last='Goetz'] gives Notre Dame a lot of intangibles as an outside hitter and defensive specialist and plans to do the same for the Tsunami. Goetz may be 5-9, but plays well above her height as evidenced by a team-high 73 assisted blocks and 11 solo blocks for the Pandas this past fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Tsunami played in the Early Bird Shootout in Indianapolis on Sunday to open the club season.
