Good luck to our setters as they push towards Nationals this summer.

Continue ReadingFioretti is quick and has a strong feel for sinding her attackers in good positions to score. She will take her opportunity to send over quick attacks from the setter spot, keeping opposing defenses honest when she is setting. The White River prospect can really go get it defensively, hitters would do well to avoid her when they try to score.
The 2027 setter from South Kitsap and Dakine 15 Surf is willing to consistently set her middles and then stretch the opposing block by throwing it out to her pins. Smith has the athleticism to play the front row in the 5-1, and is confident reversing the offense with a well placed back set.
Highlights
The Blue Royals take advantage of the 5’11” Delay’s size and powerful left arm to score from the setter position and when she plays the right-side. Delay has good touch and location on her sets and is a tough server. The East Side Catholic prospect has created big runs this club season from the service line; she rips hard jump floats with pace that get up into back row players in the deep half of the court.
A left-hander from Ridgeline, Campbell is new to the rankings and checks in as the #73 player in the class overall. The CPA 15 Benson setter has soft hands, plays tough defense in the left-back and her location is solid. At the Las Vegas Classic, Campbell showed a command of the offense, finding her hitters in good matchups and throwing over crafty setter attacks to score in big moments.
Highlights
Foyle will be a big part of the Cru Max 16 team as they begin their tournament season. The now 6’1″ setter out of Chelan will help lead the team as they play at the PNQ, Salt Lake City Showdown and finish up at the Lonestar Qualifier in April. Already an All-State selection, Foyle is a stand out on the beach who has a terrific all around game from the setter position. Her height allows her to play big at the net, and she has a great feel for the game overall.
Highlights
Erickson is an excellent defender out of the setter spot and she pushes her Aspire 15 team with her energy and encouragement on the court. She gets a good read on the second ball (after she plays defense first, of course) and has the foot speed to get under the pass and deliver a clean set.
