From Triple Crown to MEQ, we’re onto the next stop in this year’s Under Armour Next Camp Series.
This was another high level event chockfull of some of the brightest stars of tomorrow. This camp brought the talent and the heat!
This camp emphasized a lot on the wicked arms on the pins and the quarterbacks of the volleyball world. The talent in those two positions were off the charts! Let’s take a look at who received the golden ticket to Orlando for the UA All-America Week in December and the MVPs.
Golden Ticket Invitees
Madison Quest
6’2 OH – MKE Sting/Wisconsin
First up on the names called up to receive their ticket, Madison Quest. A player that I had a strong suspicion on being one of the front-runners to be invited going into today, Quest made her mark. Electrifying on the court bouncing balls on the left and the right, the future Badger made this a no-brainer invite.
Abigail Mullen
6’3 OPP – Dynasty/USC
Next up, yet another prediction I had. In fact, I even went as far as to call Abigail Mullen a shoe-in! Despite all of her accolades and laundry list of achievements. Mullen came to earn her ticket outright at today’s camp. She continues to shine as one of the country’s very few TRUE opposites playing in the game currently.
Chloe Meester
6’2 OH – Adrenaline/Louisville
I had a feel this was another one going to snag their ticket onto Orlando. Something about those Louisville-bound kids from Iowa! Last year, it was SixPack’s Payton Petersen, and now it’s Chloe Meester‘s turn. This player’s stock just continues to rocket up and up! Meester put on a nice showcase of her overall skills in today’s camp with some incredible defensive moves in the back court as well as buzzing swings.
Spencer Etzler
5’8 L – Munciana/Stanford
I had a feeling we would be seeing a Munciana Libero join the party. And who better than to call than Spencer Etzler. Speaking of players who are seeing their stock skyrocket, this is another one of those players. Etzler was handedly one of the best defenders in the gym today with great reads and scrappy pursuit. Etzler is another Stanford bound libero to be invited to the games after future teammate Malyssa Cawa this past December.
MVPs
Shelby Ignash
6’1 MB – Michigan Elite/Texas Tech
The very first name called on the day. Shelby Ignash was the first to the stage to be recognized for an incredible showing at today’s camp. A hotwire arm with an infectious personality, Ignash made herself well-known in the gym very quick. After a slow start to get the hang of the game, she was bouncing balls left and right. Ignash raised a lot of eyebrows in the gym.
Kate Rush
5’11 S – Lexington United/Western Kentucky
Next up to the MVP podium, Kate Rush! A future Western Kentucky Hill Topper, Rush had herself a day in Indianapolis. While slowly becoming an emerging talent in this 2025 class, today seemed to be somewhat of a coming out party for Rush. She was dishing the rock super well and bringing all the energy onto the courts.
Hannah Kenny
5’9 S – 1st Alliance/Louisville
What did I tell you? The setting position was stacked! Hannah Kenny was the next up to the stage after an electric camp. Kenny is no stranger to showing off her chops. 1st Alliance is touted one of the best teams in the country for a very big reason. Kenny was finding her hitters quick and pushing the tempo all day. It was a lot of fun to see her with the talented hitters she got to work with today.
Isabella Haggard
5’9 S/OPP – KIVA/Indiana
And yet, another setter to the podium, please! Isabella Haggard was one of those kids that I had a feeling could be making serious waves at the camp today. I like being proven right! This kid brings the excitement to the court. She’s an athletic setter that was finding those connections early on and during 6 on 6 play, Haggard was showing off her versatility as an attacker and setter.
Caroline Ward Caroline Ward 6'0" | RS Tri-West | 2027 State IN
6’1 OH – Boiler Juniors
Well, so far, it has been ALL about the 2025 class. But if there was one rookie on the scene that was hanging good with the big kids, it was Caroline Ward Caroline Ward 6'0" | RS Tri-West | 2027 State IN . I had to be reminded several times that Ward is just a freshman! Already, she plays well-beyond her years and has a poise to her that truly sells it beyond her skill. Ward had a great camp and is making a huge case for herself as one of the top in her class.
