Loyola Academy out of Wilmette which is on the North side of Chicago always has a program to be reckoned with.  They are carrying a 13-8 record into the Asics Challenge where they will rely on the play of Karolina Mordasiewicz Karolina Mordasiewicz 6'1" | MB Loyola Academy | 2027 State IL .  The senior is a Wash U commit and has been playing her club ball at Adversity .  Her physicality and athleicism is what jumps out right away.  She can play out of the middle, but for high school she has been swinging on the outside. With a big swing, she can find the open spot while also using the hands for the tool.  

Karolina stuck out to me and a few coaches at the event. She was fundamentally sound and showed a lot of hustle and good movement. The combination of working hard with a nice wingspan and good bounce at that MB position makes her a force at the net. I saw her make opposing players have to make different choices because she was ready and in good position to make blocks at the net. Has a great swing as well, and makes great choices when using her tips as well.

The 6’0 middle blocker out of Loyola Academy brings a major presence to the front line.  She has a combination of physicality, athleticism, and a win span that allows her to get up quickly to block and make the opposite side think a little harder about their shot.  She will be playing for Adversity who has a strong group of 2027s with some making their verbal this past summer, but some key athletes who will be good pick ups during the 2026 season.  Put Mordasiewicz on the radar among your 2027 middle blockers.
