delivered one of the most eye-opening performances at the 210 Countdown City Classic, earning Top Performer honors through her dominant play on the right side for TAV Houston. Ranked No. 62 in the Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, Gandy showcased elite athleticism, most notably her explosive vertical that allowed her to rise quickly and press well over the net as a blocker. From a technical standpoint, her ability to seal the block on the pin consistently took away cross-court options and forced opposing offenses into lower-percentage swings. Offensively, she was a constant threat, attacking with power and height that few defenses were equipped to handle from the right side. What makes her especially dangerous is how uncommon this type of production is from that position, as most teams are not built to defend a true terminator attacking from the right antenna. Her presence alone altered defensive schemes and forced opponents to commit additional resources to that side of the court. With her physical tools and growing confidence, Gandy gives TAV Houston a weapon that can change matches and positions her as a difference-maker throughout the entire club season.

Please welcome Miss Gandy officially to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 62nd best overall prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Oak Ridge High School and also for the TAV Houston volleyball club. What stands out the most to the casual observer in her game is that she is tall and plays well above the net. However, when you really watch her closely, you will see that she has the unique ability to play multiple positions along the net at a very high level. Due to her vertical, power, and great vision, she uses all of those tools in order to battle at the net on the defensive end. I would easily classify her as a shut down blocker due to her amazing ability to read the hitter’s angle and adjust her arms while she is still in the air to take away space at the net. Any championship defense starts with great blockers and she is a prime example of an elite one. Not only does she slow the opposition down, but when her blocks score, they score with authority and this creates a lot of momentum for her team. If used properly, she can be a game changer. We are proud to have her in our publication. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the state of Texas.

Gandy will provide her team TW Skyline 15 Royal with a strong presence at the net in the 15 Open division. An incredibly athletic player, she overpowers opponents with her physicality and brings a lot to the table both offensively and defensively. Gandy gets off the floor very well and does a great job of making sure she makes contact with the ball at the highest possible point – she can be unstoppable when hitting the 31 set. She’s also an excellent blocker and uses her ability to get off the floor quickly to make last-second moves and get in the way of opposing hitters to get stops. Gandy has also been used on the right to improve her team’s blocking power in key moments of matches.

Gandy played a solid tournament with the TW Skyline 15 Royal team that ranked 13th with two wins and five losses. Her vertical was among the most impressive in the entire field and made of her a very effective offensive weapon for the team. With her ability to make contact with the ball at a very high point and her quick and powerful right arm, Gandy was very difficult to stop in the middle. A player with long arms and big hands, she also made an impact with her blocking, moving well and getting very high at the net to make stops.
