CEVA Regionals Recap: Standout 2027 Outsides

The culminating tournament for the CEVA season took place the weekend of May 4th and PrepDig was lucky enough to be in attendance! We had a chance to catch some stellar volleyball and took note of players that impressed.   While it was not possible to watch every team and athlete, we were able to see a ton of athletes in action, placing priority on teams playing in Open and in the top 10 of the 16U division.   Below are the standout outsides from the class of 2027.    Meier was a six-rotation outside hitter for OJVA 15-1 Gold and a primary offensive option. She racked up kills swinging to the deep corners. She was confident on serve recieve, and, when pulling back, kicked out quickly to become an offensive option. She brought a tough jump float to the service line as well.     Crawford was seen in action for Webfoot 16-1 Elite as a six-rotation outside hitter. She contributed all around, in all ways, for the team. She made some big plays, with impressive leaping abilities, hammering the ball. She was also exceptional on defense, reading the attacker and tracking well. From the service line, she brought an aggressive jump float.     Herber was a major contributor for NPJ Salem 15-1 National. As a six rotation outside hitter, she was a big factor in the team's success. She takes a big approach, which coupled with her height and heavy arm, proved deadly from all of the court. She displayed great attacking range.     Correa was one of the primary pins for NPJ Bend 15-1 National. She showcased good defensive moves, and quickly transitioned to take a swing on the outside, or across the backcourt.     Hunt was a huge offensive weapon for Athena 15-1 Gold. With an explosive approach and impressive leaping abilities, she elevates when attacking. She did a good job finding holes in the block to swing through. She also brought a tough jump float to the service line.     Livingston was seen in action for NPJ Salem 15-1 National as a six rotation outside hitter. She is incredibly athletic and dynamic. Her approach is explosive, with a quick arm swing. She also displayed great court vision with well placed swings, tips, and shots.     Archie was not seen off the court for NPJ Salem 15-1 National as a six-rotation outside hitter. She showcased smart swings, finding openings in the court to score. She was utilized all around, backrow included. She was also solid on serve receive. Unfortunately, Archie sustained an ankle injury in the 16s finals, tearing ligaments, so she will be rehabbing over the summer to get ready for high school season!     Beaulieu was seen playing for Excel NW 15-1 Lux as an all around outside. She was consistent in all facets of her game. She displayed an explosive approach and quick arm.     Gourley was a highly effective attacker for Athena 15-1 Gold, swinging on the outside primarily. When she connects with the ball, her hammer of an arm is on full display. She was aggressive in turning the ball down the line.
