Piper Coady Piper Coady 6'0" | OH Newport Harbor | 2028 State CA , a 2028 outside hitter from Tstreet 16-Bailey, left NTDP with a more versatile serving game. “A specific skill that was improved during NTDP was having a variety of serves that can be used depending on the situation,” she said.

The pillar of Team had the biggest impact on Piper. “It really shows how important it is to come together as a team and play the game for more than just yourself,” she explained.

She found inspiration in a libero whose approach stood out throughout the training series. “She always seemed to grow from her mistakes instead of hanging on to them,” Piper shared. “She also was really motivating to her teammates no matter how the game is going. I truly admire the way she plays and will do my best to learn from her qualities.”

Among the coaches, Christa Branson from Southern Methodist University made the strongest impression. “She always encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and try new skills,” Piper said.

Please officially welcome Miss Coady to the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 7^th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.  She plays at Newport Harbor High School and for the Tstreet volleyball club program.  Piper has everything needed to be in the top of this ranking and makes a strong case for herself every time she steps foot on the court.  It is amazing how much she has grown in only a year.  Although she has always been an effective point scorer, when she hit this latest growth spurt, it put her on another level.  It also made her a more formidable blocker at the net as she is getting her head almost completely over it when she jumps.  Armed with every shot necessary to be a threat from any location, she reads the court well and makes the right call in crucial situations against the defense.  Her long extremities help her to contact the ball high and hit over and around the block to score with ease.  As she gets more accustomed to her new height, she will continue to develop her all around game and have no weaknesses once colleges come calling.  Please help us congratulate her on her achievement of earning a spot in our State Ranking List.

Representing Southern California is an honor for Piper, as it serves as a reflection of the countless hours of dedication and hard work she’s put into her volleyball journey. “Having this opportunity means a lot to me because it shows that all my hard work is paying off,” she says, underscoring her commitment to continual growth.
