15 Setters from 15 Teams that went Above and Beyond at the Sizzle

I always love seeing setters forge connections with their hitters. Reps in the summer are great for reconnecting with teammates after the club season or creating new bonds with new teammates. Setters take on a lot, and it is critical that there is a high level of communication in every play. Here are 15 setters from 15 teams who went above and beyond at the Sizzle.    Greta is looking better than ever. She is moving the ball around quickly and efficiently and running her offense like a well-oiled machine. Her connection with her hitters looks clean and seamless - what you would expect midway through or late into a season, not during the summer. Greta commands the court and has a competitive offensive mindset. She is not afraid to throw a tip over the net.     Lydia really impressed me at the Sizzle. She only continues to improve - especially in her ability to read opposing blockers. She was making smart choices at the Sizzle and really stepped into a leadership role for their young squad. Lydia is a player that works hard on every play and is constantly absorbing information to better her game.     Ava absolutely exploded onto my radar at the Sizzle. She runs a fast-paced offense and has great court vision. Her volleyball IQ is very high and she can run a 5-1 with seeming ease. She feeds all of her hitters and makes great plays. Ava continued to catch my eye throughout the tournament and is a player to watch this year.     Alaina brought a lot of consistency to the court for Bay Port. She really stood out to me on day 2 of the Sizzle where she ran the show for her team. She has really improved on hiding her setting choices since the last time I had the opportunity to see ehr play. Alaina brought confidence and experience for her team at the Sizzle.     Camilla was so impressive at the Sizzle. She was working hard to forge connections with each of her hitters. She has great form and moves the ball around well. Camilla will run down nearly any ball and puts in huge effort and hustle on every play. She is a 2027 who has been impressive over the last few years and one that I anticipate will continue to do so.     Addison is a very impressive athlete. She is committed to Wisconsin to play softball. She was setting for her team at the Sizzle and had great form. Her sheer athleticism and confidence on the court was key to her teams success during the tournament.     Lydia has an insane amount of raw talent. She has a great contact point on her sets and clean hands. Lydia works hard to get her feet to the ball and finish to her target. She provided a lot of consistency at the Sizzle and seemed to be improving on every single play. Lydia was playing all six rotations.     Laila was running the offense for Mount Horeb. She caught my eye because of her speed and quick reaction on the court. She could run down any ball and make it playable for her hitters. Laila showed a lot of grit throughout the Sizzle and never missed a beat.     Madison really caught my eye because of her natural leadership on the court. She gave full effort on every single point. She made smart choices with her sets and absolutely battled on defense. Every aspect of her game made a difference for her team.     Kennedy was new on my radar at the Sizzle. She was setting and hitting on the right side. I was really impressed with her calm and confident energy. She did her job very well, no matter what role she was in. She was a reliable force throughout the tournament.     Bailey is a setter to watch in the class of 2027. She is only an incoming sophomore but she already has a lot of talent. She made smart choices, had clean form, and was very disciplined on defense and when setting.     Braelyn was one of the best leaders I saw at the Sizzle. She was positive and encouraging on every play and had a clear passion for the game. Braelyn simultaneously was competitive on the court but was clearly having fun. She has great hands and is very athletic. I had a lot of fun watching her play and run the court for St. Mary Springs.     [player_tooltip player_id='525709' first='Meredith' last=''] played as a setter and right side for Eau Claire Memorial at the Sizzle and she dominated both. She really helped take her team to the next level with her good form and smart plays. She was hard to read and did all of the little things right.     Alayna played for Chilton and really fed her hot hitters. She has a ton of raw talent and was moving the ball around well throughout the tournament. She reacted well in scramble plays and made great on-court adjustments.     Ava is a quick and savvy setter who was nearly unstoppable at the Sizzle. She is a rising junior and could take a huge leadership role for her talented team. Ava was scrappy on defense and smart when she was setting. She is a player who only continues to improve and impress every time I see her play.
