She impressed on day 1 of the tournament. She fed her hot hitters but also balanced, keeping everyone involved. She played clean and efficient volleyball and took on a huge role for NDA. Bay Port had a great tournament on both days, and Ava was at the helm, running the defense and controlling serve receive. Nothing got past her without an attempt to stop it. She was disciplined on her block and movement across the net. She is a talented defensive middle who kept numerous balls from her side of the net. She has great fundamentals and is well-rounded in all of her skills. She is a player to watch in this class because she has the potential to be a dominant 6-rotation athlete. She played both middle and outside for Madison Memorial and was willing to do whatever it took to earn points. She was an offensive threat in both positions and adjusted well to the different sets.
