Meet the Top NorCal Freshman Prospects

College coaches at Nationals are eagerly awaiting the start of these athletes' high school careers, as this group is proving to be exceptional—playing with more intensity, speed, and strength. This remarkable drive may be a positive outcome of their experiences during the pandemic.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When the pandemic began, many of these athletes embarked on their club volleyball journeys just as the world was shutting down, pushing them to work even harder. They trained in their backyards, wore masks, and overcame significant challenges. Their determination to succeed is evident in their performance today.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The event was designed to introduce freshmen to PrepDig and college coaches, and these players certainly made strong first impressions.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The following athletes stood out at the PrepDig NorCal Freshman Showcase, excelling in all-around positional drills and six-on-six competition:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Freshman Setters</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The following setters captured attention with their impressive talent and leadership on the court. These young athletes commanded their courts with confidence and poise, proving they are ready to tackle the challenges of high school volleyball. They demonstrated exceptional footwork, smooth hands, and an uncanny ability to place the ball precisely where it needed to be. Their vocal presence and ability to direct hitters with a fast tempo were remarkable, as was their skill in orchestrating the offense, making hitters they had just met look even better.
