Ashlyn showed impressive adaptability in out of system situations, making smart attacking decisions and finding open space on the court. She hustled relentlessly in the back row and consistently blended offense with defense, making her impact felt in long rallies.

Ashlyn shared that hitting, defense, and being the best teammate she can be are central to her game. She is focused on improving her speed and explosiveness and has goals of becoming the best version of herself while helping her team qualify for Nationals. As a varsity athlete since her freshman year, Ashlyn brings experience, effort, and a team first mindset that translated clearly throughout the showcase.

With a strong mix of hustle, versatility, and team-first energy, Ashlyn is excited to showcase her all-around game, both at the net and in the back row.

Known for her smart shot selection, scrappy defense, and relentless encouragement, Ashlyn prides herself on being one of the loudest, most supportive teammates on the court. Her ability to stay engaged, adapt to coaching, and uplift those around her is part of what makes her a standout player and a culture-setter.

Ashlyn’s goal for this tournament is clear, qualify for Nationals and compete among the best for the second year in a row. She’s been preparing with purpose, focusing on nutrition, recovery, and additional training sessions. From healthy meals and extra gym hours to stretching and cold plunges, she’s committed to giving 110% over the course of the three-day event.

Ashlyn Malone Ashlyn Malone 5'10" | OH/DS/L Ripon | 2028 CA began playing volleyball four years ago, in sixth grade. From her first experience on the court, she knew she had a passion for the game. Motivated by the success of older players advancing to college, Ashlyn dedicated herself to improving her skills with the dream of achieving similar success.

Transitioning from middle school volleyball to high school varsity brought challenges, particularly as an underclassman needing to meet new people and integrate with older players. However, Ashlyn’s loud and supportive presence on the court, along with her recognition of her underclassman status, has helped her secure a spot on the varsity team. She believes that being younger doesn’t limit her capabilities compared to the older girls.

To balance academics and athletics, Ashlyn prioritizes her schoolwork, always putting it first. She ensures she completes her homework and studies for tests before heading to volleyball practice.

Her main goal for the high school season is to help her team win the section title and earn the coveted blue banner.
