Texas High School Report Vol 4

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Texas High School volleyball season is now upon us.&nbsp; Last season there were some amazing teams and super competitive matches that took place.&nbsp; Everyone is practicing hard to solidify their lineups in order to chase the ultimate prize, a State Championship.&nbsp; There have been some big tournaments that have happened over the past few weeks and we are already starting to see some fireworks.&nbsp; Let's take a closer look at who is standing out for these teams on the rise.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Dripping Springs Tigers</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I think it is safe to say that all roads that lead to the 6A State Championship run right through Dripping Springs High School this year.&nbsp; They have been super dominant and are nationally ranked in almost every sport publication there is.&nbsp; They have the leadership in their head coach Michael Kane, who has won many state titles in his career and their super talented roster as well.&nbsp; The consensus number one volleyball player in the country, [player_tooltip player_id='318127' first='Henley' last='Anderson'], is one of the main reasons why this team has been so dominant.&nbsp; Her all around game has blossomed over the last few years and she is superb to say the least.&nbsp; Currently she has amassed 343 kills on a very nice .290 hitting percentage.&nbsp; Her supporting cast is just as deadly at the net.&nbsp; Junior pin [player_tooltip player_id='321291' first='Christa' last='Wilburn'] has been phenomenal from the front row and back row on the offensive end for the Tigers.&nbsp; Senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='179891' first='Riley' last='Certain'] has the experience and skills to help lead this team to the title.&nbsp; Her performance over this year has been instrumental to their success.&nbsp; Senior middle blockers [player_tooltip player_id='314733' first='Ashley' last='Euston'] and [player_tooltip player_id='212739' first='Eloise' last='Roffers'] set the tone defensively for this squad as they let very little through the seams.&nbsp; The play of [player_tooltip player_id='318138' first='Sydney' last='Lund'] has been amazing both as a setter and a blocker in the right front position.&nbsp; She has really taken a step in the right direction and is a super amazing college recruit.&nbsp; Her length is what will garner a lot of attention, but there really is a lot to love about her form and technique.&nbsp; Senior setter Lourdes Frontera can really deliver the ball smoothly.&nbsp; Equipped with quick feet and solid hands, miss Frontera has been doing a phenomenal job of feeding her horses exactly what they want to eat. &nbsp;If any team wants to compete for a championship, their defense and ball control must be top notch.&nbsp; In my professional opinion, there is none better than senior [player_tooltip player_id='179887' first='Callie' last='Krueger'].&nbsp; We have followed her four year volleyball career and there are a few reasons why she is the number one ranked libero in her grad class in this wonderful state.&nbsp; Her drive, speed, touch on the ball and super high volleyball IQ will take this team deep in the playoffs for sure.&nbsp; This team is stacked and ready for any battle that may come their way.&nbsp; We will be watching their journey very closely and you should also.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Keller Indians</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Year in and year out this high school has always been known for fielding awesome teams who have great chemistry on the court and never give up in a fight.  This season, they have been on a roll.  They have a very balanced attack with many players contributing to their offense.  Senior [player_tooltip player_id='751915' first='Carley' last='Wright'] is super athletic and can throttle the ball with the best of them on the pins.  Junior outside hitter Lilly Boatner has been just as lethal this season.  Just when you think your defense is okay becuas one of them has rotated to the back row, here comes another one to keep you on your heels.  Junior middle Sophee Dean has a great connection with her setter [player_tooltip player_id='253969' first='Anna' last='Flores'] as they run quicks early and often to keep the defense honest.  Miss Dean is killing the ball at a very impressive clip and this is one huge reason why this team is so hard to stop.  When a team can run their middles early and often, it makes the defense have to wait to close the block on the pins and that gives the pin hitters so many more options to score with.  [player_tooltip player_id='253969' first='Anna' last='Flores'] is one of the top setters in her grad class and has been showcasing her skills all season long.  The six foot one junior setter is silky smooth and is a sniper with the ball in her hands.  She has also been scoring and that adds one more weapon for any opposing team to try to defend.  Senior pin Brooklyn Harter has been producing very well for the Indians this season on the offensive end.  There are many matches that she end up with double digit kills very efficiently.  Junior Annabelle Nicher is another weapon that has been used on this prolific offense.  But in my professional opinion, the three-headed monster for this squad is their backrow.  Senior libero [player_tooltip player_id='525261' first='Sydney' last='Clark'], Junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='530425' first='Lauren' last='L.
