How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Focused. I like to bring the energy, pump my teammates up the lock in to each serve/serve receive. I like the high energy, fast paced, close scoring games and the challenges they bring.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Determined. Taking on a new position had it's challenges and I was determined to conquer them. I am a perfectionist to a fault and train hard outside of practices with private lessons and a private conditioning coach for injury prevention. Diet and mental health have also become something I am determined to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Academic awards in school for the past 4 years, Honor Roll every year in middle school and now, again, my Freshman year of high school. I was involved with the National Charity League and did some volunteering through this mother-daughter organization.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have worked hard on my mental game, channeling my frustration with my play into encouraging thoughts. Staying positive during practices and games is something I am working on to be a leader for my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A few years ago I had trichotillomania, an anxiety disorder that caused my to unknowingly pull out my eyelashes, eyebrows and sections of my hair. I learned various techniques to manage this and realized I needed to prioritize my mental health. I endured bullying in my younger years, as most kids do, and became stronger for it using my voice to stand up for others in these situations.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to study to be a veterinarian. I've lived in a rural mountain town and also a suburb by the beach so I can accommodate to most environments. I love a big college environment with lots of sporting events to attend and I hope to play volleyball as well.
