Four teams saw their prep seasons end at the Class 6A State Tournament in Salina.

Here is a look at four prospects who played well in their final matches of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='154041' first='Logan' last='Parks'], 5'11”, S, Blue Valley North, ‘25

Parks is currenlty the No. 1 ranked athlete in the Kansas Class of 2025 and she played like it despite her team exiting on day one of the tournament. There is really nothing not to like about her game. She can set, hit, and play solid defense. Now that her high school career is over she will set her sights on the Stanford Campus where she has verbally committed to play volleyball.

[player_tooltip player_id='445976' first='Reese' last='Maslowski'], 5'10”, OH, Blue Valley North, ‘27

Maslowski is a prospect to follow closely. She had a solid tournament and I am sure this won't be her last trip to the 6A State Tournament. The Mustang sophomore is currently ranked No. 14 overall by Prep Dig. Blue Valley North was the No. 6 Seed overall and finished the day with a 1-2 record.

[player_tooltip player_id='223572' first='Stella' last='Kelly'], 5'10”, S, Washburn Rural, ‘26

I have scouted Kelly multiple times at the club and prep level and her game has come a long ways. Kelly is currently ranked No. 30 overall in the class of 2026 and has an over from Baker University. She has always had a high volleyball IQ, but she has improved her athleticism which makes her more dangerous. She moves much quicker and her game is more crisp than it was a year ago.

[player_tooltip player_id='501970' first='Dayne' last='Shriver'], 5'10”, OH, Washburn Rural, ‘27

The last time I saw Washburn Rural play was at their preseason jamboree. An athlete who has improved since then is sophomore Shriver. He can elevate as well as anyone on the team and looks to have gotten stronger this year. She moves well and hits best down the line. Shriver is currently ranked No. 108 in the class of 2027, but look for her to jump up the rankings in the next update. Washburn Rural was the No. 4 Seed and finished the tournament 1-2.

[player_tooltip player_id='551296' first='Andrea' last='Hernandez'], 6'0”, MB, Wichita North, ‘25

Hernandez is a high-jumping middle who is currently ranked No. 65 overall in the class of 2025. She had a tough match-up at the net against Blue Valley West. She was not at all intimidated and battled hard for the Indians against the No. 1 Seed in the tournament. She is currently uncommitted and looking for college offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='495681' first='Cora' last='Daggett'], 6'2”, MB, Wichita North, ‘25

North's Daggett is currently ranked No. 68 overall. She is a physical middle who plays primarily on the front row. She is taller than Hernandez, but not as quick. She has solid blocking technique and disrupt the opposition's attack game. North was the No. 5 Seed and finished the tournament with a 1-2 record.

[player_tooltip player_id='173378' first='Piper' last='Harris'], 5'10”, OH, Garden City, ‘25

Harris' volleyball career probably ended in this tournament. She is a highly skilled six-rotation athlete, but according to her coach does not plan to play college ball, but instead is looking to go to dental school. She led the Buffaloes in kills, and I would suggest that western Kansas JUCO coaches take the time to give her a call and see if you can change her college plans.

Charly Vollertsen, 5'10”, OH, Garden City, ‘28

Vollertsen is an unranked freshman who will be added after her solid performance at the state tournament. She is aggressive and plays a clean game for her age. She did not get rattled during Garden City's tournament. She is a player a team can build around and should be fun to watch for the next three years. Garden City was the No. 8 Seed in the tournament and finished 0-3 on the day.
