Emma is on the Prep Dig Texas official watch list for reasons that were on full display in Indianapolis during the showcase. The 5’8″ setter from Antonian Prep and also playing with San Antonio Juniors 15 Adidas earned a Top Performer award by running an offense built around athletes she had never played with before. The smoothness with which she handled that challenge told court coaches and scouts exactly what they needed to know about her feel for the position. Her footwork, release point, and tempo variety drew consistent praise throughout both the skill and scrimmage portions of the event. The confidence she brought to every set reflected the competitive environment she has been developing in throughout the club season. She led without being overly loud, communicated consistently, and kept the energy of her side of the net steady throughout the event. College coaches watching a setter operate with that kind of composure and adaptability in an unfamiliar system tend to remember it. Please help me congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase. 

Miss McIver is a player we have seen for a while as I cover the Texas market extensively.  Watching her highlight reel footage over the past two years, we have seen some amazing growth in her game and that is why we added her to the official Watch List.  The watch list designation at this stage of her career signals a player whose decision-making and ball control are already trending ahead of her peers. What evaluators in Indianapolis should track closely is her footwork getting to the second ball, the consistency of her hand position at release, and whether her tempo choices show variety. Setters who combine early height with clean technical habits tend to climb quickly once their recruitment window opens. We are high on her ceiling and think that she deserves tons of looks.
