Springy, quick and athletic, Jolie is next in line for Seton Catholic leadership in the volleyball program. As part of Munciana, she’ll get a healthy dose of the pass-to-attack that she excelled at during her time this past Saturday. I’m more interested in how she uses her athleticism to overcome her size. What she’s doing athletically is hard to duplicate or teach, and she’s got plenty.

As just a freshman, Jolie played in every set for the varsity squad at Seton Catholic HS that went 26-9 this past season. She was second on the squad in both total kills and kills per set, as well as ending up third in total digs and aces. Any time a freshman can play all the way around in every set and contribute, especially for a team that had such a great record, you know she deserves a look come club season. I will be excited to see Scherschel play as an OH/RS (instead of MB) for this 15 Open Blue team this winter/spring.
