2028 Watchlist is Live

Our first 2028 "rankings" are live with our initial watchlist! This list is a work in progress and comes from the work done during the high school season. In some programs, freshmen don't get the chance to play early on therefore some names on the list are shared via coaches or from our Prep Dig Top 250 showcase. I don't start watching players until their 15s season for club or during the high school season so expect more names to be added in April. Some of these players have been highlighted recently in classes 1-3. I will highlight many players this week from classes 4 and 5.   Here are some of the players on the 2028 Watchlist to know.    If we were in the ranking stages, Osegueda would be in the top ten. As a prospect for the next level, which is how we go about our rankings she has tremendous upside. She has size on the pin standing at 6 feet. Her freshman season was solid as she produced from the first game. Like all of this class, she is still young and will continue to develop different shots.     I saw Harris live a couple of times during the high school season and I like her game. She primarily played in three rotations and though what some would consider undersized for a pin, she makes up for it with her jumping ability and power. She is a player who I expect to develop into a six-rotation pin.     Belton had a couple of key pieces returning but Dreya was surely a key in helping them get over the jump. They started the year on a long winning streak and had a tremendous season that ended on an upset. A coach's kid, you can see her processing things on the court, and has a great mixture of shots that can find the floor. She has a high volleyball IQ. I'm unsure but assuming like her older sister she is a beach player which helps in many facets of the game indoors.     Gardner can do many things on the court as I saw her put up big numbers this fall for a revamped Truman team. On the club level she is a top defender in the class in the city. Her ability to get touches on almost any ball in her zip code speaks to her awareness and quickness.     As Platte County worked to get back to the state tournament, Omoike was a welcomed addition to the squad. The 6'0" freshman made an immediate impact in the middle for the Pirates showing the ability to affect the match both offensively and defensively. She's quick off the floor and has tremendous bounce.     The 6'3" Wingenbach showed in her first year at Union she is a name we all should get to know. A .337 hitting percentage and 243 kills were some highlighted statistics to mention. She has tremendous upside and coaches will love her physicality at the net.     Wilson is a player I watched some old film on this weekend from last year afer hearing her name mentioned a few times. She is a setter in this class to watch. She has good size and hands and will only get stronger and better with age.     Jordan is another talented setter in this class who contributed for a talented Lee's Summit West team this fall. She operated in a 6-2 system and garnerd over 500 assists in her debut season. She is a player who runs a good offense and decision making is superb. She is a player college coaches should be watching on her Mavs KC team this spring.
