Jada Wright Jada Wright 5'8" | OH TX , a Class of 2027 outside hitter from Katy Jordan High School in Houston and Houston Juniors Volleyball Club, is a competitor who has made it clear through her own work ethic and coachability that she is not waiting for volleyball to happen to her. She describes herself as a player who implements feedback immediately and asks questions to make sure she fully understands what is being asked of her, which is the kind of coachability that college coaches at every level talk about wanting but rarely find. At 5’8″ she attacks from the left pin with an energy and determination that pushes through contact rather than pulling back, and she brings the kind of uplifting presence that makes her teammates better because she competes with enthusiasm regardless of the circumstances. She takes advanced coursework seriously and has her sights set on an architecture degree, which tells you the discipline and attention to detail that show up on the court are present in every other area of her life as well. Jada is a 2027 outside hitter who will make a coaching staff very glad they took the time to evaluate her before she was gone. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on our Official Watch List.

Wright is a true six-rotation outside hitter whose physicality and offensive strength stand out immediately. She generates significant power through her full-body approach, transferring strength efficiently into her arm swing to produce heavy, high-velocity attacks. Her ability to score from both the front and back row gives her team a consistent offensive option in multiple rotations, and she shows confidence attacking in high-leverage moments.
Defensively, Wright provides strong value with solid serve-receive skills and reliable back-row defense, allowing her to remain on the court in all rotations. Her willingness to take on primary passing responsibilities while still producing offensively demonstrates both conditioning and competitive toughness. The combination of power, defensive reliability, and six-rotation versatility makes Wright a well-rounded outside hitter with continued upside.

Originally an outside hitter, Wright-Woods was used in the middle and, even having a hard time facing much taller opponents at the net, she still found ways to contribute to her team’s performance. The junior used her all-around game very well, playing a unique role which saw pass in some rotations at the net and hit from the left and the right. She was able to put the ball down important moments and played at a consistent level throughout the match.
