HJV 17 Elite’s outstanding middle blocker, Willtrace Ngoh Willtrace Ngoh 6'0" | MB Seven Lakes | 2027 State TX means business this week. There is not a block she won’t push to close or a point she won’t celebrate. Her determined play protects her defense and fuels her teams confidence in winning. She swings aggressively and intently at the net, earning the trust of her setters and teammates to put the ball down when it’s needed. Her energy, her powerful swing, and reliable play is what is keeping her team on top of their game.

Ngoh is part of the HJV 17 Elite team that will be in action in the 17 Open Division in Indiana. Constantly present in USA Volleyball training camps, she’s incredibly athletic and complements it with tremendous hard work and a very high volleyball IQ. Wiggles, as she’s known, continues to get better every day, and her blocking is feared by opponents all over the country, as despite being tall and physical, she reads the game extremely well and is always one step ahead when it comes to getting to the pin and pressing them. Her impressive firepower also shows on offense, as she makes contact with the ball at a ridiculously high point and puts a lot of pressure into her swings to beat blockers and defenders.

Miss Ngoh is currently ranked as the 40th best overall player in the 2027 grad class according to the Prep Dig Texas State Ranking List. She plays at Seven Lakes High School and also for the Houston Juniors volleyball club. The amount of raw power in Ngoh’s game is astounding. When she connects with the ball, the sound alone turns heads across the gym. Her explosiveness at the net allows her to terminate quickly, often before opposing blockers can establish proper hand positioning. She is not just big and physical, she is technically advanced in how she sees the game unfold in front of her. What stands out most about her blocking is her vision and anticipation. She reads the quality of the opponent’s pass, processes the likely set location, and explodes laterally to seal the correct side of the net. That ability to close space early makes her a dominant shut down blocker and a true weapon against opposing offensive systems. Attackers must account for her presence at all times. Offensively, she runs the full route tree that you expect from a high level middle. Whether it is a quick in front, a slide, or a tempo variation designed to stress the block, she executes with both precision and speed. Her footwork keeps her balanced and available in transition, which allows her setter to trust her in critical moments.
