The blocking timing, the closing angle, the explosive first step off the net, the ability to cover the pins when the hitter adjusts, all of that is developing in a player who is still in the very early stages of understanding the position. Ngoh was Seven Lakes’ most consistent player in the match, and her strong play helped keep her team in the game in some moments. Opponents had no answer for her incredibly high contact point and powerful swings, and the Spartans had their best moments in the game when they were in system and their senior middle managed to get into a good offensive rhythm. Ngoh’s blocking also made its mark in the game, as she got some stuffs in key moments and initiated some of their comebacks with her strong play at the net.

The senior middle has been one of the fastest-rising players in the entire country and was recently with the US U20 national team. An athletic freak, Ngoh is an elite blocker who not only gets stops at a high volume but also gets them in key moments of matches, making a real impact in games. She moves very quickly at the net, gets off the floor incredibly well and is extremely aggressive above the net, getting in the way of opposing hitters. Her offense is also very powerful, and she can be a key contributor in that area of the game, too, when she gets going, as besides making contact with the ball at a high point, she also hits it very hard.

Ngoh is part of the HJV 17 Elite team that will be in action in the 17 Open Division in Indiana. Constantly present in USA Volleyball training camps, she’s incredibly athletic and complements it with tremendous hard work and a very high volleyball IQ. Wiggles, as she’s known, continues to get better every day, and her blocking is feared by opponents all over the country, as despite being tall and physical, she reads the game extremely well and is always one step ahead when it comes to getting to the pin and pressing them. Her impressive firepower also shows on offense, as she makes contact with the ball at a ridiculously high point and puts a lot of pressure into her swings to beat blockers and defenders.

She plays at Seven Lakes High School and also for the Houston Juniors volleyball club. The amount of raw power in Ngoh’s game is astounding. When she connects with the ball, the sound alone turns heads across the gym. Her explosiveness at the net allows her to terminate quickly, often before opposing blockers can establish proper hand positioning. She is not just big and physical, she is technically advanced in how she sees the game unfold in front of her. What stands out most about her blocking is her vision and anticipation. She reads the quality of the opponent’s pass, processes the likely set location, and explodes laterally to seal the correct side of the net. That ability to close space early makes her a dominant shut down blocker and a true weapon against opposing offensive systems. Attackers must account for her presence at all times.
