leaves you talking about the entire match. The longer I watch her compete, the more I appreciate all of the small things she does that help teams win. She seems to have a feel for when a match needs a spark, a steadying play, or someone willing to take responsibility in a big moment. Those qualities are difficult to measure, but they are impossible to ignore once you see them. Wells may not always be the loudest story coming out of a tournament, but she is often one of the players I find myself writing down before I leave the gym. Coaches you don’t want to miss out on

brings physicality and power. Her approach is explosive, and her contact point stays high even when pulled off the net. Batcheller doesn’t roll shots unless she chooses to — she challenges hands and finishes through the block. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
This weekend, expect her to handle heavy serve receive pressure and still deliver high-volume offensive production. She’s built for fast-paced systems and will be a primary scorer against national-level competition.

is a true six-rotation outside who brings balance, competitiveness, and consistency to the floor. She contributes in serve receive, defense, and attack, making her a reliable option in every rotation. Wells plays with control and purpose—her footwork is clean, her approach is efficient, and she understands how to manage rallies rather than force swings. This club season is a major opportunity for her, and she’s trending toward a breakout. Coaches looking for a complete outside who can stabilize a lineup while still scoring should have her firmly on their summer contact list. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

stands as South Dakota’s top outside hitter in the 2028 class, and for good reason. A true six-rotation player, Batcheller dominates in serve-receive, defense, and front-row termination. Her arm swing is fast and heavy, and she has the vision to attack seams and deep corners with precision.
👉 College Value: Batcheller’s all-around impact makes her a program cornerstone—a player who can anchor both the offense and the passing lanes from day one.

Wells earns the No. 5 spot in South Dakota’s Class of 2028 rankings, and for good reason. As a freshman, she already possesses a powerful approach and a strong, dynamic arm swing that makes her a serious offensive threat. Her precision in attacking open spots on the court is a testament to her high-level court awareness and ability to read the game in real time.
With her combination of power, skill, and volleyball IQ, Wells is already making a name for herself—and this is just the beginning. Expect to see her continue to rise as she refines her game and solidifies her place among South Dakota’s top talents.~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
