Undersized Attackers Bringing the Heat

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Height is almost always seen as an advantage in volleyball, especially when talking about attackers. But shorter players have proven that height isn't everything. Undersized hitters continue to change the status quo of volleyball with their explosive approaches, ball control, court vision, and high energy. These players have turned what some may call "disadvantages" into their biggest strength in volleyball. Fielder has a very strong snap to her arm swing that makes her attacks very difficult to defend. Lease has a quick approach, quick arm swing, and a strong snap that is difficult for the opposing defense to defend. Lease is great at seeing when the block is in front of her and swinging around it. Lease does pretty well at hitting through the seams of the back row. Hampton is very well at going thumb up and hitting a nice hard shot to the deep corner. Hampton's swings are very thought out as she sees where the opposing defense is and knows exactly where she is going to swing or place the ball. Swindle brings a high volleyball IQ to the game. Her ability to see the court lets her know when to take hard driven attacks or place the ball right in the middle of the court. Joynt is very aggressive from the back row demanding that ball from her setter. She is very well at placing shots from the back row to the deep corners or in the hole in the middle.
