Her PSVBA 16 Legacy 2 team looks to find her on varied routes to create scoring opportunities and use her quickness against opposing blockers. She creates soft blocks and touches as a blocker that turn into quality scoring opportunities for PSVBA; Ries moves with good athleticism and can translate that movement into a well-formed block with a strong press.

Ries checks in as the #14 middle in the rankings; the Emerald Ridge prospect showed improved aggression as the season went on, and she added a slide attack to her offensive bag. Ries can drop in a soft, well-placed tip with either hand; she has good vision and works around the block. Her commitment to closing the block and getting off the net in transition is outstanding. As she gets older and adds strength, she will continue to improve as a player.

Ries is a 5’10” MB from Emerald Ridge High School. ERHS is stacking talent, and Ries will be another player to watch for the Jaguars. The 2028 prospect has good movement and footwork along the net. As the season has progressed, her speed and urgency in closing the block and moving in transition have shown a notable improvement. She is making an impact for PSVBA 15 Legacy at USAV Nationals, scoring when she has the opportunity and working hard to put pressure on hitters with a strong press.

Ries has been making tremendous strides from the start of the club season to Regionals over the weekend. At 5’10”, she has good size at the net, and she is now finding the angles and corners to score points for her PSVBA 15 Legacy squad. Ries is gaining the confidence to cut loose big swings, and she kept the team fired up when she blasted kills off the block.
