Mescher possesses the attributes needed for success as a defensive specialist. She moves well laterally and has quick reflexes. She supports those gifts with keen anticipation and technical soundness. Mescher is a good leader that communicates consistently with teammates and keeps everybody on the same page. She can do it all on the court. Just when I think her best spot is outside hitter, she comes up with a series of spectacular plays in the back row. Cibula is a combination of explosive athleticism and a high volleyball IQ. She limits mistakes and takes advantage of opponent miscues. Cibula has steadily improved, including just during this club campaign. She ranked second on Valley with 167 kills last season and finished third in digs (216). She commanded the back row with her play and strong communication skills. Stilwell can do everything that's required at libero. Her lateral quickness, sharp reflexes and advanced skills lead to a consistently reliable performance. She's explosive hitting from the opposite pin, getting elevation and swinging with authority. Schroeder is committed to the block with solid timing and technique. She's versatile enough to play elsewhere along the net. In a tough Mississippi Athletic Conference, Schroeder contributed in multiple areas as a sophomore. She finished the year with 98 kills, 27.0 blocks and 24 digs. She's worked hard to steadily improve and clearly was playing her best volleyball this spring. While she's an undersized right-side hitter, she makes up for it with leaping ability and solid technique. Liu also plays within her skills and doesn't try to make plays that aren't there. It helps her limit mistakes and keep her teams in the point. That's by choice, as she tries to balance a busy schedule with other activities. It doesn't take long watching her with United to pick up on her potential. Her athleticism shines through for her on the court. Suhr's leaping ability helps her attack and block. Last season, she led a young Williamsburg outfit with 180 kills.
